To think the male American Airlines passenger punching the reclined seat should be charged with assault if legally possible.

I have watched the video of the man continually punching the seat occupied by Wendi Williams who had positioned it to recline. I am totally appalled that she was not given assistance when she drew the flight attendants attention to her predicament. This mans behaviour was totally unacceptable. I find it hard to fathom his behaviour and really feel a bit disturbed by it. I don't think he would have acted this way had it been a man in front... Am I being unfair in thinking this?

Hysterical is a gendered insult. Totally inappropriate to use.

AIBU

Yes

I don't give a toss what you think

Well don't fucking ask them

And you are hysterical with your ridiculous over reaction, you give women a bad name sweetie!

GreenTulips · 23/02/2020 20:01

Again agree with you Bikerider2020

really couldn't give a toss what you or anyone else thinks

Why ask? You are obviously never going to see what everyone else sees. I hope you don’t become a judge.

SiousieSoo · 23/02/2020 20:03

really glad I don't see what you see Green Tulips... And yes why would I give a shit about anyone who uses the demeaning term hysterical?

Total bollocks, you've argued against everyone who has said your unreasonable, read back your own posts.

You may not be Wendi, but you're cut from the same cloth!

Right from the start, you started with the PA, I'll get my boxing gloves out, you can't listen to another point of view.

And again you're being hysterical!

SiousieSoo · 23/02/2020 20:13

@Bikerider as the saying goes if you had a brain you really would be dangerous.. you just can't keep away can you? Your attempts at insults are now sadly starting to look a bit desperate.

OP posts:
Bikerider2020 · 23/02/2020 20:17

@SiousieSoo are you the internet police as well, do tell me why I can't keep posting?

FYI I can and will post as much as I like, come on now you must realise that.

And stop keep insinuating I'm thick, it's rude, damaging, frightening, disturbing me, I'll need counselling.....

Oh no, it's just nothing, I'm not disturbed or anything, unlike you about a ridiculous non event.

SiousieSoo · 23/02/2020 20:20

biker if the cap fits. You can post away you just come across as very one dimensional, with limited ability for original thought, boring and rather misogynist with your gendered insult towards me by calling me hysterical so I would rather not engage with you

OP posts:
Rosebel · 23/02/2020 20:21

Well the flight staff and other passengers said he was not aggressive and she was being unreasonable. It was also her that was spoken to about her behaviour but you keep insisting he was in the wrong. You are being really unpleasant now.
If you don't care what others think don't ask for opinions.

Bikerider2020 · 23/02/2020 20:23

@SiousieSoo as @Rosebel says you're really are unpleasant.

SiousieSoo · 23/02/2020 20:24

She's complained about the flight attendant and the airline said they are looking into it. I'm called hysterical, told I'm talking bollocks yet I'm being unpleasant? Okay..... the weird world of Mumsnet

OP posts:
GreenTulips · 23/02/2020 20:27

She’s complained about the man, the flight attendant, the airline, and to anyone else who will listen to her! She’s complaining about next ache, xrays whiplash, and wants to sue anyone who will take notice.

He’s ignoring the hype because that’s exactly what it is. She’s got herself in a tizzy about a situation she caused.

Bikerider2020 · 23/02/2020 20:30

I'm called hysterical, told I'm talking bollocks yet I'm being unpleasant? Okay..... the weird world of Mumsnet

Oh grasp on to the word hysterical, you've said I've only got two brain cells, been told to jog on, you just come across as very one dimensional, with limited ability for original thought, boring and rather misogynist with your gendered insult!

But like the man in this situation I must accept your insults and not stand up for myself?

As I said you're cut from the same cloth as your mate Wendi!

SiousieSoo · 23/02/2020 20:30

I am not litigious in any way but I would totally complain about this bullying mans aggressive behaviour. Why on earth should she be expected to put up with this? No idea if her medical complaints have any merit to them but the FA should have intervened.

OP posts:
JamesBlonde1 · 23/02/2020 20:34

It's fucking ignorant to recline a seat, end of. What was she playing at? I'd have been fuming about it and if she failed to raise it I'd have sat on her bloody arm rest. Stupid cow.

SiousieSoo · 23/02/2020 20:37

In the words of the great Basil Fawlty... Do I detect the smell of a burning martyr standing up for himself? Don't forget you also said I give women a bad name which firmly puts you into the hard of thinking misogynist category as far as I'm concerned.

OP posts:
Bikerider2020 · 23/02/2020 20:37

@SiousieSoo oh you are so the victim, it's ok for you to say I've got two brain cells, it I must not retaliate, if I do, I'm misogynistic blah blah.

So what should I do when you are rude to me? Ignore, jog on as you've said, stop posting as you've said?

I'm not allowed to stand my ground, because you say so?

Bikerider2020 · 23/02/2020 20:39

In the words of the great Basil Fawlty... Do I detect the smell of a burning martyr standing up for himself? Don't forget you also said I give women a bad name which firmly puts you into the hard of thinking misogynist category as far as I'm concerned.

You really fucking do, I'm embarrassed by you!

SiousieSoo · 23/02/2020 20:40

@Bikerider2020 that's made my daySmileSmileSmile

OP posts:
Bikerider2020 · 23/02/2020 20:43

Bikerider2020 that's made my day

Probably not as much as your "mild" punching comment, that was comedy fucking genius to be honest.

I've been mild touched in the ribs, I've mildly punched my colleague, I've mildly punched the air.

Maybe replace with "lightly"?

It made me LOL 😂

SinisterBumFacedCat · 23/02/2020 20:45

Don’t get it. Planes come with the option to recline your seat as standard. Not the option to punch the seat in from of them. He is clearly an angry twat irl.

SiousieSoo · 23/02/2020 20:47

As I said previously you're very very easily pleased aren't you? Bless

OP posts:
Bikerider2020 · 23/02/2020 20:49

Oh and by the way @SiousieSoo the title to your AIBU makes no sense whatsoever, which surprises me as your Mrs Pedantic and Mrs hysterical....

Anyway, I'm off, got to book my NYC tickets, hopefully AA will have some good deals.

Hope you sleep well, even thought you're disturbed by this bullshit.

FenellaVelour · 23/02/2020 20:50

He’ll be a narcissist in a minute.

Tistheseason17 · 23/02/2020 20:52

Wow, is OP seriously posting insults to posters who don't agree with her?
Why post on AIBU if you don't really think you are? Pointless exercise.
