To think the male American Airlines passenger punching the reclined seat should be charged with assault if legally possible.

I have watched the video of the man continually punching the seat occupied by Wendi Williams who had positioned it to recline. I am totally appalled that she was not given assistance when she drew the flight attendants attention to her predicament. This mans behaviour was totally unacceptable. I find it hard to fathom his behaviour and really feel a bit disturbed by it. I don't think he would have acted this way had it been a man in front... Am I being unfair in thinking this?

Such weird comments. Her chair is being punched she has resorted to filming it but yet she's looking smug?

SiousieSoo · 23/02/2020 17:29

Yes I'm Wendi it is me I am her... bloody hell how tedious and unoriginal.

As you have such severe comprehension skills, here is the definition of "punch"!

Hopefully it will help you!

Do you want the definition of alleged as well?

@Bikerider now you're just being a bit silly aren't you?

Yes it's in the first part of the film, you really can't miss it! Unless you have sone sort of issue of being blinkered because you can't accept you're wrong?

KatharinaRosalie · 23/02/2020 17:35

So if the passenger in front of her reclines, she is not allowed to recline, because the guy behind her is inconvenienced? Why is she is the one who is expected to be uncomfortable instead of a tall guy why did not bother to make sure he is not sitting in the last row?

Bikerider2020 · 23/02/2020 17:36

@SiousieSoo it's you that's "being silly", by starting a thread and getting the hump when people say you and this women are totally unreasonable.

SiousieSoo · 23/02/2020 17:37

Bike rider you are aware that your statement "you have such severe comprehension skills" is utter nonsense? Grammatically it makes no sense whatsoever.

OP posts:
Bikerider2020 · 23/02/2020 17:39

@KatharinaRosalie that wasn't the situation? Why if she has a bad back and needs to recline doesn't she book extra room? Why is he in the back row? Maybe he booked last minute due to a bereavement, due to a meeting being moved, due to having to fly to see a sick relative? Someone gets the back row and not always through choice.

Ah, hang on he's male so no reasons as above allowed.

Bikerider2020 · 23/02/2020 17:41

You seemed to understand?? You've lost the row by being ridiculous, give up!

SiousieSoo · 23/02/2020 17:41

@KatharinaRosalie Because some posters seem to regard seat recliners as abominations who deserve everything they get despite it being permitted.

OP posts:
FrippEnos · 23/02/2020 17:42

SiousieSoo

You don't see the "punches" before filming and you don't see his hand during the filming. So using the term "allegedly" is correct.

Otherwise you are putting forward your opinion as a fact, which it clearly isn't.

SiousieSoo · 23/02/2020 17:45

@Frippo you are kidding right. How can you not see his fist making contact with the seat? How come virtually all news reports refer to it as punching? I know you're wedded to your argument but seriously give it up now it's embarrassing.

OP posts:
KatharinaRosalie · 23/02/2020 17:46

Why if she has a bad back and needs to recline doesn't she book extra room?

Why should she - she had booked a seat that reclines which meets her requirements. If I want to use my seat as it is, should I book 2 seats just in case the person next to me is obese, can't fit in their seat and wants to therefore use half of mine? Or should it be the person who can't fit into 1 seat who should book themselves extra room?

Bikerider2020 · 23/02/2020 17:51

That's sad maybe @SiousieSoo, but you're totally appalled and a bit disturbed about his behaviour. From the clip you've seen, get a grip love!

Am I being unfair in thinking this ?

Lots of posters, yes you are and you keep coming back with no I'm not! Why ask then?

FrippEnos · 23/02/2020 17:51

SiousieSoo

No more embarrassing than yours.

The most you see on the video is an open hand on the side of the seat.

You never see a fist making contact. feel free to screen print and post otherwise.

Tessaraqt · 23/02/2020 17:52

Totally agree with the poster who said if you have ever worked in customer services, she definitely comes across as one of "those" people. Bollocks did she need xrays and doctors appts 😂

The airline stewardess defended him, other passengers on the plane also defended him and said the woman was being vile and laughed after spilling his drink etc. Yes he overreacted, but 100% her shitty inconsiderate behaviour started it, and I have no sympathy with her at all.

If I was him, I wouldn't be feeding her the oxygen by trying to defend myself either, it's very clear the type of person she is. No one gives a shit, it's tomorrow's fish and chips wrappings.

Because he didn't punch the chair? See definition of punch!

The comments on line mainly call her out for being ridiculous, interesting....

Well that won't happen....

SiousieSoo · 23/02/2020 17:55

No way is that an open hand. Talk about a tenuous argument.

SiousieSoo

Where does it show an actual closed fist on the back of the chair?

It doesn't
The most it shows is him pushing the chair backwards and forwards.

He is being obnoxious, She is being obnoxious. And yes she does look like she is taking great delight in winding him up.

@SiousieSoo definition of a punch is a forceful hit with a fist, that's not! But don't let the truth get in the way of a drama.
