I couldn't find a sport section, so I'm shamelessly posting here for traffic!

I'm happy to see either side win to be honest. Anyone any thoughts or preferences?

Wtf just happened to that post? It wasn't that bad!

@PrincessSarene . Definitely!
Though you could argue that it would also be patriotic to test it now. Grin

AlunWynsKnee · 22/02/2020 15:53

It's had entertaining moments but it does look and feel like the wooden spoon decider.

champagneandfromage50 · 22/02/2020 15:54

Scotland to win- I am off to twickenham tomorrow for the Ireland vs England game

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 22/02/2020 15:55

Little flash of Scottish bottom there!

On a more serious note - what is wrong with all the kickers today? Either missing altogether or hitting the posts!

ImperfectAlf · 22/02/2020 15:55

@shudup it's been good to watch it with you lot, though.

shudup · 22/02/2020 15:55

Neither of the teams are getting the ball out to the sides to the 'runners' as I call them. They're going in for rugby in the middle and not gaining any ground. Ireland has been at fault for doing this in the past.

Haha - nice hairless bottom it was too hahahahaha

Can't beat a good bottom. (Well, you could, but that's a different convo entirely)

PrincessSarene · 22/02/2020 15:57

Agree that the chat here has been the best thing about this match!

ImperfectAlf · 22/02/2020 15:57

Thoughts on the yellow?

shudup · 22/02/2020 15:59

Alf, I can't make head nor tail of the ref today.

Hello!

Would love Italy to win, but they're not going to again.

Did you hear about the possibility of South Africa joining the Six Nations? Now that would be good!!

ImperfectAlf · 22/02/2020 16:00

@PrincessSarene are you staying for the Wales v France game? Can't be much worse. Unless France win, obvs

MrsJoshNavidi · 22/02/2020 16:00

Agree about the yellow.

ImperfectAlf · 22/02/2020 16:01

@shudup True. Seemed a bit ' handbags' to me

shudup · 22/02/2020 16:03

Did you hear about the possibility of South Africa joining the Six Nations? Now that would be good!! No it would not! Whatever chance Ireland has, we don't need SA joining! Next we'll have the All Blacks and we'll never win anything ever! Lol

I thought the yellow was spot on - in fact, I thought it could have been a red. The Italian 16 clearly tipped the Scottish player over the horizontal so he landed unsafely. The officials are really cracking down on that sort of dangerous play and rightly so.

shudup · 22/02/2020 16:06

The Italian players don't seem as fit as the Scottish. They're struggling to run.

OP posts:
PrincessSarene · 22/02/2020 16:06

Agree with the yellow. It was a clear tip and could have been very dangerous.

Hoping to stick around for the Wales game... depends on when the DDs and DH wake up from their naps. I’m currently the only one awake!

shudup · 22/02/2020 16:12

Congratulations Scotland! Commiserations to Italy.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 22/02/2020 16:15

It would be daft South Africa joining.

I thought Georgia was a possibility.

AlunWynsKnee · 22/02/2020 16:18

I wouldn't want South Africa joining. It does nothing to improve the competition at the bottom of the table.

shudup · 22/02/2020 16:21

I suppose when you've some of the top teams coming out of the six nations - Ireland, England and Wales, then I suppose we could take on SA! I didn't think that we were noticed on the world stage though.

OP posts:
AlunWynsKnee · 22/02/2020 16:26

I don't think the Six Nations is unnoticed in the Rugby World. The Southern Hemisphere have dominated RWC tbf but that's only been running since 87

shudup · 22/02/2020 16:26

I wikipedia'd it and it was originally called the Home Nations with just Ireland, England, Scotland & Wales. Then France joined in 1939. It was the first international rugby union tournament in the world.
