To find Joe Wicks suddenly annoying & smug!

I’ve always really liked him but since he had kids he’s become really annoying and slightly smug! His wean in 15 has particularly annoyed me for some reason as he’s releasing a book about weaning kids!

He’s currently in Tulum in Mexico and it’s been a constant stream of smug posts about his (admittedly) beautiful Wife & hotel etc. I’ve been to Tulum when travelling & saw the biggest mozzies I have ever seen & he’s there with a tiny baby too and small other child too.

I don’t know what it is but he’s quite sanctimonious all of a sudden about his perfect kids that never cry etc!!!

Aibu- I used to really like him but kids seem to have turned him into an annoying smug prat!!

I totally agree. Have a look at the threads about him on tattle and you’ll meet some likeminded folk.

I wouldn’t mind the smugness if I didn’t think his parenting was piss poor 🤷🏼‍♀️

He's always been smug and annoying to me. Which I why I don't follow him on social media. I suggest you hit "unfollow" too.

@honey that’s what I have done. Which is a shame as I like his workouts & he uses Facebook to post new ones. I just can’t bear all the other stuff!

Yeah I feel the same about Davina. I still use her old DVDs but don't follow anymore.

He posted videos of them both crying at the same time a few days ago when they were jet lagged or something and he has posted several times about the fact the new born is struggling with colic so I don't think he can be accused of being smug about them not crying.

I think he seems like a genuinely nice guy and a good dad

Definitely not unreasonable, although he's always been super smug and very much in awe of himself. Now hes become one of those tedious 'only person to have reproduced, everyone look at me' types.

@littleblackdress04 YANBU. I loathe the man. Utterly irritating smug condescending armpit of a man. I have never been a fan of Jamie Oliver, but I detest Wicks even more. Makes my skin crawl. And he always has.

@Ericaa88 maybe I missed that one! Still think he’s really smug most of the time. They left the baby overnight at 4 weeks old too so he could ‘reconnect’ with his wife 🙈

He’s smug and full of himself in real life too.

He’s also constantly putting naked pics of his kids online which you would think he would know isn’t a great idea at all

Yeah I am not a big fan. I am also irrationally annoyed at how much travelling he seems to do, he’s always on some long haul holiday. None of us are perfect and I don’t generally judge but it just seems so excessive and I want to ask if he ever thinks about his carbon footprint

YANBU. I have unfollowed everyone on my Instagram who could be classed as an influencer and my online life is so much better for it.

It’s when they start branching out from their original area of expertise to maximise their money-making potential and scope for gifts, that it gets too much for me. I think - hang on, you knew no more about xyz than I did five minutes ago! Hit the unfollow button and don’t look back 😂

I'm also surprised at some of the pictures of his wife he puts online. You'd think he'd know better.

Oh man I hate him. How can he sign a deal to do a weaning book when he had no qualifications and at that point hadn't even done it himself? His poor kid is just an experiment to help daddy sell books. For a supposed health and fitness coach he displays some pretty disordered habits as well.

YANBU!!! I hate how he’s always banging on about what a varied diet his daughter eats and how it’s all down to his weaning methods. I do all the same bloody things he does (loads of variety, always eat with baby, no alternatives) and my baby is picky as anything. Some of it is luck/genetics!!!

He also bangs on about how he never offers his daughter alternatives if she refuses a meal. Poor mums are replying to his posts feeling so guilty about offering their children alternate meals, worrying they’ve ruined their children’s diets for life...then one night his daughter refused her posh dinner and he cooked her an omelette!!!

The thing that upset me most was him being all smug about his daughter exclusively breastfeeding on demand. At the time my son was 6 months old, I was breastfeeding too but had to top up with formula...I know I shouldn’t have but I let it make me feel sad. Then, just a few weeks later he shows himself making a bottle of formula with a Perfect Prep! I don’t care how anyone feeds their baby and am 100% “fed is best” but don’t lie and act all smug about your breastfed baby if it isn’t true!

There's no need to be unkind and post mean comments about someone you don't personally know on an online forum. Did we learn nothing from last weeks events?

Especially when these comments are catty and clearly a bit envious.
