Who is being U regarding lunch?

SidsWife · 21/02/2020 17:02

A and B have had a day out planned for a few months. Day out is a 2 hour trip away and the opportunity for their children to have lunch at a place that sells food they can not get anywhere near where they live. Children are really excited about this. C had asked to join trip last minute which is fine, however, C and children will not eat the food served at this place and has requested they eat at a chain restaurant which they can have in hometown. A and B have said no, kids have been looking forward to this for ages, however if C and kids want to eat somewhere else then that’s fine and they can meet again after. C is mad and saying they are being selfish and not accommodating her palate. A and B refusing to budge as they had trip planned months in advance.
Who is being unreasonable?

It's C! hope A and B have a wonderful day out and hope that C decides not to tag along and spoil everything!

SentimentalKiller · 21/02/2020 17:27

C

2beesornot2beesthatisthehoney · 21/02/2020 17:27

Mac Donald's is about 20yds from this place around the corner and there are loads of other places close by. Why on earth can't she be reasonable and eat elsewhere if necessary.

TheShepherdsCrown · 21/02/2020 17:27

C is being utterly unreasonable and rude. Go, and I hope you all enjoy your Sushi. That menu looks great.

Rafflesway · 21/02/2020 17:28

What the hell is she whinging about?

Even I would have absolutely no problem at all with that menu. I dislike sushi but adore tempura!

Honestly, take it from the world's worst eater, she is being deliberately difficult unless she can only afford pub chain 2 for £10 meals, in which case she should graciously bow out of the day trip.

dustibooks · 21/02/2020 17:28

C.

She's piggy-backed onto other people's already-planned day out, and is now demanding changes to suit her and her dc?

Ruddy cheek.

KatherineJaneway · 21/02/2020 17:28

C is an arse.

datasgingercatspot · 21/02/2020 17:29

C.

Wouldn't change plans at all. Nope.

Cremebrule · 21/02/2020 17:29

She was being unreasonable although I can see how some people could find sushi a bit tricky with children. But, having looked at that menu there is loads on there so she’s being especially picky and annoying making her strop even worse in my mind. There’s loads my (even increasingly picky) 3 year old would be eat.

messolini9 · 21/02/2020 17:29

Amazed you have to ask!
It's as if you'd planned trip for months to go horse riding, CF C asks to join you, then calls you selfish for not caving in to her demand to change to trampolining instead.

Is she usually so blinkered & self-centred?

lottiegarbanzo · 21/02/2020 17:29

C can fuck right off! They're being a brat.

PhilomenaChristmasPie · 21/02/2020 17:31

C. The food could be anything except pizza, Chinese or McDonald's round here.

Brefugee · 21/02/2020 17:33

C - it's awful (especially as a kid) to be REALLY looking forward to something and then you don't get it because someone is being an entitled git

TonytheDog · 21/02/2020 17:34

C is being unreasonable. Can I come though? That menu looks amazing. I too live nowhere near anything, although we have a Yo! Sushi an hour away now.

74NewStreet · 21/02/2020 17:34

Tell C to piss off. You can’t join in an already established outing and rearrange it to suit yourself. Cheeky mare.

isseywith4vampirecats · 21/02/2020 17:35

blimey I don't like sushi but even I found qabout 8 or 10 meals on there I would eat she is being unreasonable I wouldn't swap a fine dine restaurant for blooming mcdonalds

Mummyoflittledragon · 21/02/2020 17:35

C. Why can’t her kids have chicken skewers and rice for example?

iklboo · 21/02/2020 17:36

Can we come instead of C? The menu looks lovely.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/02/2020 17:38

If she doesn't go cam I come? I will walk all the way down from Newcastle if necessary - that menu looks amazing!

Oh - forgot to add. C is not just BU, she is BaCF!

SidsWife · 21/02/2020 17:38

i think they would eat it, in fact I know they will as I’ve given them this sort of food before. She however is really fussy, and has a habit of telling them they won’t like something before they’ve even tried it so they won’t even try it. It’s quite sad really as they rarely get to eat out with other kids in our social circle because we don’t really want to eat McDonald’s or things like that. (Makes me very ill!)

OP posts:
PlanDeRaccordement · 21/02/2020 17:38

C is.
Only valid excuse would be a fatal food allergy.

OhCaptain · 21/02/2020 17:39

I don’t like sushi but there’s so much variety on that menu!

Plus if she wanted to go to the day out she could very, very easily eat elsewhere and rejoin.

I’d disinvite her!

Ellie56 · 21/02/2020 17:39

Well it is unanimous that C is being totally unreasonable.

How dare she gatecrash your trip and then expect you to change it? Hmm
Tell her if she doesn't like what you're doing, she can always uninvite herself and stay at home!

Waterandlemonjuice · 21/02/2020 17:41

C

Nonnymum · 21/02/2020 17:41

Of course C is being completly unreasonable
