Who is being U regarding lunch?

SidsWife · 21/02/2020 17:02

A and B have had a day out planned for a few months. Day out is a 2 hour trip away and the opportunity for their children to have lunch at a place that sells food they can not get anywhere near where they live. Children are really excited about this. C had asked to join trip last minute which is fine, however, C and children will not eat the food served at this place and has requested they eat at a chain restaurant which they can have in hometown. A and B have said no, kids have been looking forward to this for ages, however if C and kids want to eat somewhere else then that’s fine and they can meet again after. C is mad and saying they are being selfish and not accommodating her palate. A and B refusing to budge as they had trip planned months in advance.
Who is being unreasonable?

C definitely.

BouleBaker · 21/02/2020 17:10

C.

SidsWife · 21/02/2020 17:10

She was invited last minute as she was originally supposed to be working but is now free. The food is sushi. We live in cornwall which is 25 years behind the rest of the world, we’ve only just got a kfc Grin

Why on earth would C want to go on a two hour trip just to eat in a chain restaurant that they have in their home town? Weird.
C is BVU.

WorraLiberty · 21/02/2020 17:12

How is this not completely obvious that C is being unreasonable?

AriadnesFilament · 21/02/2020 17:12

C is. Definitely C.

EdgeWithNoReason · 21/02/2020 17:12

You are C aren't you Grin

C is being a CF!

Ironfloor269 · 21/02/2020 17:13

Is it Milk Train and is C lactose intolerant/vegan?

SidsWife · 21/02/2020 17:13

I was doubting myself in that we should be more accommodating because I know her and her kids are really fussy.

Nubbled · 21/02/2020 17:13

Sushi???? C is not only a CF but mad too.
Mmmmmm Sushi 😋

APurpleSquirrel · 21/02/2020 17:13

C is being unreasonable.

I don't like sushi but there will be more on the menu than just raw fish!

DDiva · 21/02/2020 17:14

C if they want to eat elsewhere fine but dont change your plans.

DoSomethingBob · 21/02/2020 17:15

Mmmmmmmmm sushi. 😋🍣🍱
C is the unreasonable one. Don’t see why they can’t eat elsewhere and then meet back up.

PickAChew · 21/02/2020 17:15

Definitely C. Don't spoil it for the kids.

BeeFarseer · 21/02/2020 17:16

Tell C that she was invited on a trip to get sushi, and if she doesn't want to join you for that, she's welcome not to come.

Absolute cheeky fucker.

Rafflesway · 21/02/2020 17:16

C is being mega unreasonable! and a CF

I am a very difficult eater with a hugely unadventurous palate but wouldn't dream of expecting friends to eat somewhere which suits me better. 🙄

What gives me the right to spoil their day? I would sit and have a glass of wine/cup of coffee with them then go and get myself a bag of fish and chips. 😂

Jeleste · 21/02/2020 17:17

Never ever would i give up sushi to be accomodating! Grin
C is insane!
Is it a place for sushi only or do they have other dishes?

SidsWife · 21/02/2020 17:19

If she was coming originally when we first made the plan, we would have gone somewhere where we could all eat, but as just me and my other friend made the plan first I feel like she should compromise not us.

www.steaknsushi-exeter.co.uk/steak-and-sushi-menu

This is the menu and it’s honestly the nicest food I’ve ever eaten.

CoffeeRunner · 21/02/2020 17:20

C is definitely unreasonable. I'm no fan of sushi either, but I would never want my friends to change their planned day out to suit me. If my DCs wanted to try sushi then I would probably just go along, let the DCs eat, and get something to takeaway elsewhere later. If my DCs also didn't want sushi I'd take them to McDonalds or somewhere else chain like whilst A & B were at the sushi place and meet up again after.

CoffeeRunner · 21/02/2020 17:23

It's not even just sushi! There's so much on that menu. I would happily eat there.

Chocrock · 21/02/2020 17:23

C definitely. Don’t change your plans she is being very unreasonable to ask you to!

Canadianpancake · 21/02/2020 17:24

C

BanningTheWordNaice · 21/02/2020 17:24

Oh haha I’ve not eaten there in ages - it is quite nice.

Arthritica · 21/02/2020 17:26

C is an asshole.
