Who is being U regarding lunch?

A and B have had a day out planned for a few months. Day out is a 2 hour trip away and the opportunity for their children to have lunch at a place that sells food they can not get anywhere near where they live. Children are really excited about this. C had asked to join trip last minute which is fine, however, C and children will not eat the food served at this place and has requested they eat at a chain restaurant which they can have in hometown. A and B have said no, kids have been looking forward to this for ages, however if C and kids want to eat somewhere else then that’s fine and they can meet again after. C is mad and saying they are being selfish and not accommodating her palate. A and B refusing to budge as they had trip planned months in advance.
Who is being unreasonable?

C.

Iusedtobeapartygirl · 21/02/2020 17:04

C is being u reasonable. And a bit spoilt.

Enjoy your day out!

8by8 · 21/02/2020 17:04

C is welcome not to come. She wants to join a trip others have planned, she needs to join in with what’s already planned.

Hiphopopotamus · 21/02/2020 17:04

C! What’s the food?

poopbear · 21/02/2020 17:04

C! Stick to the original plans. Somebody joining late should not be derailing the plans

Finfintytint · 21/02/2020 17:04

C is unreasonable. Kids can try something new for a change. I wouldn’t be dictated to like this.

ConsiderTheCentre · 21/02/2020 17:04

C of course.

PurpleDaisies · 21/02/2020 17:04

C is out of order.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 21/02/2020 17:05

C. They tagged along. Could they not eat somewhere else and meet again after?

MaggieFS · 21/02/2020 17:05

C, although I do wonder on the group dynamics. Would C normally have been invited from the start? Why the late invitation?

CwtchesCuddles · 21/02/2020 17:06

C

Thehop · 21/02/2020 17:06

Definitely C

Don’t change your plans.

Finfintytint · 21/02/2020 17:06

I’m trying to think of a food that I could only get with a 2 hour drive.
So for me it must be Ikea Meatballs Grin

Trahira · 21/02/2020 17:06

C unreasonable

katy1213 · 21/02/2020 17:06

How cheeky to invite yourself and then get mad! But I'd love to know the mystery food!

MyCatHatesEverybody · 21/02/2020 17:06

Cheeky fucker

flumposie · 21/02/2020 17:07

C. Do not change your plan.

Edwardbear1 · 21/02/2020 17:07

C

Knittedfairies · 21/02/2020 17:08

Definitely C!

recrudescence · 21/02/2020 17:08

If someone joins this thread to make the case that C is being reasonable then I shall lose all faith in Mumsnet.

MiniGuinness · 21/02/2020 17:08

I can only answer if I know what the food is. If it is Ikea, then C is ridiculous and should be uninvited immediately.
