To find filming a funeral odd?

Attending a funeral on Friday and been given the heads up it will be filmed so those not attending can watch it later. Also, it'll be a memory for those left behind.

Is this a thing now?

I hate funerals already without being filmed! AIBU in thinking it odd?

My mothers funeral was Skyped so I could be there as i was not allowed to travel. We gathered here with a few friends and family and it was extremely moving. The ipad was set up at the front with my siblings so I had the same view as I would have if I had been there. Afterwards, "I" was in a spot and a few people made a point of coming over to offer me their condolences. It was incredibly powerful for me and I am grateful as missing it was absolutely devastating and I has been on the phone to multiple.doctors asking them to please sign off on my attendance.

My mother's funeral was filmed. We did not request it but it just was part of the package. The DVD as sent to her last living relative in mum's home country.
I don't remember cameras being there so they must of been discrete. It was also a funeral home so the cameras could of been in the ceiling.
