Hanging around outside local restaurant and off licence. Opposite a couple of pubs. They look intimidating. Hoodies up. Drinking cans. They look about 15 so could be younger or older. Smoking. We were worried walking past them to get to our restaurant booking. Thought they might just be waiting for a taxi or friend though so ignored it. Even more worried walking back past them as they were still there when we came out. They didn't approach us or do anything to us. This was a dispersal zone and may well still be. I'm worried they might be waiting for somebody specific. AIBU to ignore it. They're more likely harmless and trying to look tough.

Poor kids.
My 2 lads and their friend got "tracked" home by the police prior to Xmas.
I'd sent them out at late at night to walk the dog as the poor thing had been waiting all evening.
No problem with their behaviour, they just looked threatening I guess and the Police didnt recognise them.

One's a nurse, one's a trainee pilot and the youngest is a choristor, but put them in black North Face hoodies and scarves and yeah, I can see how they looked like they were going out to rob a bank Grin

raviolidreaming · 14/02/2020 23:11

Who will play you in the movie?

GrinGrin

BuzzLiteYear · 14/02/2020 23:11

Did they have skin which was a different colour to yours? Deeply suspicious.

Shoxfordian · 14/02/2020 23:13

You're lucky to be alive Hmm

Amanduh · 14/02/2020 23:14

So they ‘didn’t do or say anything’ and ‘didn't approach’ you at the same time that they are now coming up to you and stopping your car and throwing things in front of you whilst intimidating you? Riiiiiight.

YasssKween · 14/02/2020 23:15

Haha! Best change of story / drip and flounce so far this year on MN I think.

Give us all three rings when you get home so we know you've escaped the clutches of any tween bastards who happen to be within a mile radius...

TrainspottingWelsh · 14/02/2020 23:15

Willing to bet that if op comes back, the next update will involve hoodies being 'triggering' and a big bullshit backstory.

SonjaMorgan · 14/02/2020 23:21

What the hell is going on with all the stupid posts tonight?!

Neveranynamesleft · 14/02/2020 23:26

I've had a crap week but this has cheered me up big time , laugh out loud stuff Grin. Maybe the next thread on here will be from someone who was stood talking to their mates when someone walked past, looked at them then carried on walking. Confused

85notout · 14/02/2020 23:26

First night of half term and they are bored with their xboxes

Shortfeet · 14/02/2020 23:28

Wtf? This is what young people look like now.

This is a big pile of nothing.

justasking111 · 14/02/2020 23:32

gawd we`ve got a week of these daft threads.

MorganKitten · 14/02/2020 23:32

The things people fuss over...
It’s Valentine’s Day, Netflix and chill !

AutumnRose1 · 14/02/2020 23:42

Sounds like my high street OP

You say they threw something to intimidate you

I think they just throw things. It’s grim, I know, but nothing to worry about.

Are you in one of the many places that’s gone downhill. My mum was scared the last time we were out in the evening but she’s 81. She just said to me “is this how it is now” and I said, yes.

WatcherintheRye · 14/02/2020 23:44
  1. They didn't approach us or do anything to us.

  2. They didn't say anything to us but threw something across the road in front of us, came right up close and ran across the road to stop the car.

Well, which?

ThePluckOfTheCoward · 14/02/2020 23:53

Op, you and your nonsensical post won't be missed, ta ta.

ProclivitiesMcManus · 15/02/2020 00:05

Anything could have happened.

LolaDarkdestroyer · 15/02/2020 00:06

DNR i get where you are coming from, you should have explained what they were doing in your op though as obviously walking in front of your car etc does change it.

NameChangeNugget · 15/02/2020 00:09

I’d that a tap I hear?

Sparklesocks · 15/02/2020 00:16

I thought they didn’t say or do anything? But now they threw something and ran out in front of the car? This story is hard to keep track of..

DanielRicciardosSmile · 15/02/2020 06:29

OP was also on foot at the start of the story, then magically in a car.

insancerre · 15/02/2020 06:44

Gosh, op, it all happens where you live, doesn’t it?
Sending hugs
Do you think they might have been road men?

Pinkyyy · 15/02/2020 06:50

I believe I may have just witnessed a flounce

Bikerider2020 · 15/02/2020 06:56
