@Frariedeamin
Same! It also depends on how hot or cold it is. I have a good nose and eyesight so smell and sight test works fine for me and the kids!

T-shirt’s once, jeans/jeggings until I get something down them, could be one day or one week, jumpers I wear maybe two or three times unless they have cooking smells or something down them! Bras maybe two weeks(!!!!) but I don’t have many and they were expensive because of my size so try to limit washing them and ruining them, wash more in the summer. Kids clothes more often and toddler clothes complete change every day.

Omg I am shocked at all this washing! So unnecessary in my opinion and so bad for the environment.
Surely, aside from underwear and tops, anything else can go a few days?
Or maybe I'm just not very clean lol

Jeans hardly ever, unless visibly dirty. Cardigans same. Tops once a day. Bra (crop top as I don’t have big boobies) every few days.

I’m not a sweaty person at all though so I guess it depends on the person

I wear clothes until they crawl to the washing machine by themselves.

I am pleased not to have been thread-ostracised for my filthy habits :)

I’ve heard of the freezer trick for jeans, may try it. Also heard of people wading in the sea/showering in their denims. I think it’s possible to take it a bit far, but also good to remember that jeans are workman’s wear and were designed to experience a bit of grime.

I wash things when they are dirty . I could keep trousers ,skirts and jumpers going for ages. Tee shirts and work shirts get washed daily ; a dress lasts me 1-3 days depending on how messy I've been. Same for children, all grown up now,but they would keep pinafores and shorts or school jumpers going for weeks in DS1's case or just a few days for DD and DS2. I try not to wash unnecessarily if I can.

Jeans rarely get washed in this household because they fade and look crap after being washed. Kids wear their pyjamas 2-3 times before being washed. Everything else is probably worn once then washed. I wear bras for a few days at a time too actually.

Kids clothes, one wear, one wash, they’re grubby little blighters.

Me: jeans a weeks wear unless obviously dirty. And sometimes I just hang them out for a day to freshen them up. Other clothes such as shirts, t shirts, vests, are one wear/wash. I have recently got lots of lovely knitwear that I’m trying to wash as little as possible. So again I hang outside when the weather allows. Really saves on laundry and feels like I’m extending the life of the clothes.

Once. Except jumper's I usually wear an under top. I don't wear jeans only jeggings the material is synthetic and tight around the crotch area unlike normal jeans.

EmeraldShamrock · 14/02/2020 16:21

Bra's every 3 days.

Jeans probably a week-basically until they start going baggy or get grubby.

Tshirts/jumpers probably 2 or 3 wears then wash.

I tend to change in to joggers when i get home, they last about a week.

I only do 1 clothes wash for me a day.

Dd is 2, she wears tshirts etc more than once if they're clean as she wears a vest underneath.

Basically stuff only goes in the wash if its grubby

Tops once

Trousers - unless it is very hot and I sweat 3-4 wears. I normally have 2-3 on the go anyway depending what tops I wear.

Depends on the item.

Coats may get washed a couple of times a year. Cardigans get worn 6 or 7 times before being washed.
T shits, pants and socks I wear once.

Gym gear is washed after wearing for an hour.

speakout · 14/02/2020 16:34

Jeans 30-40 wears, so about every 8 weeks

That wouldn't work for me.

Jeans/trousers - 4-5 days (unless specifically dirty)
Jumpers - until they've got spilt food or smell
Shirts - once unless I've worn a T-shirt under it, in which case twice (assuming no stains, etc.)

safariboot · 14/02/2020 16:37

Jeans two days, everything else one, unless I've failed to do the laundry.

Putting on dirty socks in the morning is the most minging thing 🤮

Report
safariboot · 14/02/2020 16:38

Oh and my coat gets washed once in a blue moon, ahem. But that doesn't count as "clothes" to me.

Report
crystal1717 · 14/02/2020 16:59

Jumpers 2 to three times
Jeans or skirts twice
Tops once

Children everything clean everyday. Now sometimes kids can wear jumper twice. Not often though.

Once, except for jeans. I'll normally wear them two to three times before washing. The kids pjs I try to get 2 nights out of.

Report
firstimemamma · 14/02/2020 17:21

Jeans - 2-4 times.
Tops, dresses etc - 2-3 times.
Cardigans - 2-4 times
Jumpers - 2-4 times.

Everything gets worn at least twice. Only time I'll wear clothes once and wash is if it's been boiling hot and I was sweaty or if I got it really dirty e.g. baby getting food all down me.

Once including kids stuff.
