Yes, very much. I know the awful health problems!! I only smoke when drinking and I’ve had 2 glasses of wine.
I do wish I’d never started

Fresh1five · 06/02/2020 22:25

@vodkaredbullgirl what do you enjoy about it? I'm craving one so badlyConfused

AllesAusLiebe · 06/02/2020 22:26

No. I love smoking. I only smoke when I'm out with friends or back home (both are a rarity these days), but it gives me real pleasure and I really don't care that it's bad for me.

YANBU at all!

Fresh1five · 06/02/2020 22:26

@dotty12345 do you smoke in the morning? That's when my cravings are worst

Boom45 · 06/02/2020 22:26

I loved it. Past tense because I quit (for my health, someone pass me a crown of some kind and congratulate me on my eternal life) but I loved it so much...

vodkaredbullgirl · 06/02/2020 22:27

Dont know exactly why lol

Why are you craving one?

Honeybee85 · 06/02/2020 22:28

I loved the feeling of it.
As a friend once worded it: smoking is so good, if it wasn’t so expensive and unhealthy everyone would be doing it all day.

For me it was a huge stress reliever.
Until I finally realized that the withdrawl effects that kick in a few minutes after finishing your cigarette cause more anxiety then whatever stress I was having. I gave up smoking and still being very happy about it. Also hated the aftertaste. I always had a dry mouth as a smoker, even hours after my last cigarette at night and no amount of water drinking could help it.

champagneandfromage50 · 06/02/2020 22:28

A cautionary tale- my DH loved smoking, his friends who didn't smoke usually smoked when they were with him. He found it amusing and not worried about health as there is no cancer in his family. True but he was diagnosed with throat and a different lung cancer at aged 49. So my advice is perhaps vape instead

MAgeyev · 06/02/2020 22:30

Anyone fancy a line of code?

MAgeyev · 06/02/2020 22:31

coke?

Thanks, autocorrect, for ruining that.

Fresh1five · 06/02/2020 22:31

Anyone chain smoke at times? I can't be the only one.. surely not?

OP posts:
vodkaredbullgirl · 06/02/2020 22:32

Vaping is just the same, still has nicotine in them.

RitaMills · 06/02/2020 22:32

I’m an ex smoker, 10 years now but I will never forget the sheer joy of a cigarette with my coffee in the morning. I enjoyed every one.

If money and health were no issue I’d be back on it for sure.

Fresh1five · 06/02/2020 22:34

@vodkaredbullgirl when do you crave the most?

OP posts:
PonderTweek · 06/02/2020 22:35

Oh I loved it. I felt that it was part of my identity and I felt like "me" when I was having a fag. It was a great stress reliever and pastime, and I really enjoyed blowing smoke out. Grin I quit almost five years ago, and I have since attempted to have a toke, but it just makes me cough and it tastes so so gross, so I guess the things I loved about it were just an illusion. Haha. I'm so glad I quit though, as I feel better, my asthma is pretty much gone, I save money and I don't have to constantly worry about the health effects or wonder if today will be the day I finally quit. I would recommend quitting, but I totally get why people smoke.

BedraggledBlitz · 06/02/2020 22:35

I used to. I would consider it time to myself. A few minutes before starting work, going outside during the day, I found it relaxing.

I quit when I was pregnant. My body totally rejected fags, I'd start gagging if I smelt one 2 cars ahead!

Now that I'm not addicted I'm so pleased I dont smoke anymore. I enjoy being a non smoker more than I enjoyed smoking.

champagneandfromage50 · 06/02/2020 22:35

Yes it has nicotine but it doesn't have the toxins.... let's not be naive
