The extremes countries are going to in order to stop it spreading suggest that it is more deadly than we've been told i.e that it's like a flu? We don't shut down countries for flu. What are we not being told?

www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-51299195

Why are they stopping all transport and such if it is just a flu?

Are we being told fuck all to stop panic?

OP posts:
AdoraBell · 31/01/2020 00:15

They said it’s not about the severity, it’s about it spreading to countries with weaker health services.

JustonTime · 31/01/2020 00:17

That's what they've said? So Britain shuts down to save other nations? Don't wind me up.

OP posts:
Wellmet · 31/01/2020 00:19

How has Britain shut down? Confused

PurpleDaisies · 31/01/2020 00:20

Britain has not shut down.

2020vision10 · 31/01/2020 00:21

As above... How have we shut down?

JustonTime · 31/01/2020 00:22

China has been shut down. No flights allowed in or out by BA.

TwitcherOfCurtains · 31/01/2020 00:22

You're being hysterical.

JustonTime · 31/01/2020 00:23

Read the links in my op. I didn't put them there for the hell of it.

OP posts:
SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 31/01/2020 00:23

🙄

JustonTime · 31/01/2020 00:24

I'm not remotely hysterical. But the media and government appear to be and I'm wondering why.

OP posts:
Monty27 · 31/01/2020 00:24

OP what's your source of information to which you are relying on? Confused

PurpleDaisies · 31/01/2020 00:24

You are seriously asking why the media are being hysterical? It sells papers and generates clicks.

I don’t accept that the government has been hysterical.

JamieVardysHavingAParty · 31/01/2020 00:24

The state the NHS is in, China needs to shut down to save us. Which they are doing, so that's great. Thumbs up!

We may not feel we know exactly what's going on, but as I posted on another thread earlier, any contagious new flu is automatically not just a flu.

Imagine what it would be like if everyone got flu at once. In normal years, that doesn't happen, because there are always people who have immunity from previous years, but this thing is new.

Didkdt · 31/01/2020 00:25

BA hasnt decided whether flights go in or out it has made a decision about protection staff and passengers.
China has made the decision about where flights can land
The uk has made decisions about quarantine.

JustonTime · 31/01/2020 00:26

Monty - I linked to two sources in my OP.

OP posts:
stellabelle · 31/01/2020 00:28

China has shut down no other country has done that. WHO is simply being cautious, reaching out to help poorer countries with weak health care. Nobody in other counties should panic.

JustonTime · 31/01/2020 00:28

@Limpshade I tried not to laugh at that too heehee.

OP posts:
JustonTime · 31/01/2020 00:29

Do I seem panicked to you? I'm here at half twelve at night, drinking above all things, a Budweiser. Ain't no panic here son.
I am however watching and reading.

OP posts:
Nosquit · 31/01/2020 00:29

It’s a virus we don’t (yet) have a vaccine for. It’s the lack of vaccine that is aiding the spread. Many ‘lower risk’ flu viruses are lower risk because we have vaccines so the more vulnerable are less likely to get them.
And anti vax people think they are being soooo clever.... Hmm

2020vision10 · 31/01/2020 00:30

Okay then... Still not understanding how Britain has been shut down. Does seem a bit of a hysterical reaction and exaggeration tbh

TwitcherOfCurtains · 31/01/2020 00:30

OP what's your source of information to which you are relying on?

My bets on David Icke.
