Started a new thread on the off chance () that something funny might happen in my street later. Maybe around 10pm...

Diagram below for the handful of people in the country that haven't printed it off yet...

Love this thread

My room is set out so that you naturally see out, without even moving. This has been my own personal soap opera forever.

I've been out for lunch. On return, C hasn't moved, there is one Strange Car and NO ONE ELSE is home.

Did B kill campervan man and has gone to hide the evidence? Has F thought it safe to finally go out after her space loss earlier in the week?

It'll be a free for all later!

Oh also I have blinds. You have to be halfway up my drive to be able to see in. (I've tested).

Oh my goodness I just made a brew and everything has changed!

We have two Strange Cars.
A has a visitor in X, very close to 1.
C is in 2, also very close to 1.
D is in 3, touching C.
F has reclaimed her precious 4.

1 is now too small, especially for Bertha Can't Drive.

Mr and Mrs K are out, as is B. Oh dear.

LakieLady · 01/02/2020 15:51

(Also if she has neighbours sitting in their cars for hours on end, looking out of one's window can hardly count as odd.)

Very true!

I keep checking the Stranger Car (which hasn't budged since it arrived on Thursday evening) and I pretend I'm just admiring the view and looking at the weather.

Visibility is very good today, I can see the radio masts 20 miles away but no sign of anything interesting happening. I want to move to Alphabet Street.

originalcatlady · 01/02/2020 15:52

I think the Strange Cars are moving and are a result of the never ending unproductive roadworks.

sunshinesupermum · 01/02/2020 16:38

OP please never move out!

We're going out for pizza supper later. Phone will be switched on throughout for updates, please. Can't wait for Bumbling Bertha to return and see she can't get into her space!

sunshinesupermum · 01/02/2020 16:40

BTW who usually claims E on your brill diagram?

originalcatlady · 01/02/2020 16:45

E is a house with drive. He's a lovely man in his ?60's who often checks I am well. I've never seen him chatting to anyone else.

B is back. She's semi-parked at the end of the 2 Strange Cars, but with this being the junction, she needs to wait in her car for a space.

ScrambledSmegs · 01/02/2020 16:48

The frequent bumping of cars reminded me of an incident when we lived in our old home. Street of terraced houses, mostly flats, all parking on the street and close to a football stadium so spaces at a premium.

Weekend, uncharacteristic number of large free spaces, DH, DC1 and I were about to drive off for a day out when I remembered we needed something important/ baby-related so popped back inside to get it. While they were waiting, a woman in an average-sized car drove up and proceeded to park in the pretty big space behind our car. She proceeded to gently bounce her car off our car (and presumably the car behind her) 3 times, DH claims.

He got out, politely knocked on her window and said 'You've just hit my car 3 times). Her response was "No I touched it in a parking sense".

DH was ConfusedHmm

2020newme · 01/02/2020 16:49

How long will she sit there, waiting for a space, rather than just park somewhere else?????

ScrambledSmegs · 01/02/2020 16:50

Too many 'proceeded's there. Must proof-read Blush

DanceItOut · 01/02/2020 16:50

It's begins 😁

originalcatlady · 01/02/2020 17:04

Visitors have left. B has pounced. She's in 1.

OP posts:
TheMustressMhor · 01/02/2020 17:08

Just 1?

I thought she needed several spaces?
