Started a new thread on the off chance () that something funny might happen in my street later. Maybe around 10pm...

Diagram below for the handful of people in the country that haven't printed it off yet...

If the holes are on the pavement then they may have put cones on the road so that there's a bit for pedestrians.

originalcatlady · 01/02/2020 08:40

@Goodgriefisitginfizzoclock I hadn't thought of that but I've checked now and they are legal.

I think D is more annoyed than we know. He was gone when I got up this morning. Mr K then appeared in his space. Mr K has now gone out with the dog and D has returned, parking so close to C that I heard the bump! He's now been sitting in his car for a good 20 minutes. They like sitting in their cars over there!!

Does C not do anything about her car continually getting hit? I think I’d have to say something if I was C

Wuzzle85 · 01/02/2020 09:14

I still can’t get over B complaining but then taking up two spaces thus causing many of the issues.

originalcatlady · 01/02/2020 09:36

C can be just as bad. And I've seen her mum bump both B and D at least twice each during one manoeuvre when she visited once.

I'm back at work, do todays action better be good -glares at OP- B better be out in her dressing gown, shouting at all and any cars......

TokenGinger · 01/02/2020 10:22

OP, I hope you have no plans this weekend so that you can keep up fully updated on what is occurring.

olympicsrock · 01/02/2020 10:35

Thanks OP loving your work!

MachineBee · 01/02/2020 10:43

Never mind checking the MOTs on the strange cars, I’d have had to have peak to check Bs car is legal too. Now think of all the fun there’d be if she was so busy hogging her parking space she forgot to MOT her actual vehicle Grin

mrsBtheparker · 01/02/2020 10:43

Anyhoo have you done an MOT check on Strange car?

OH runs the village Speedwatch so we have to check up the details of all the cars speeding. It's amazing how many vehicles, particularly white vans, come up as either not existing or being something else, one was a red Clio recently. All those go to the boys in blue to be looked out for. (Yes, I know that there are also girls in blue but locally they're all boys!)

SweetNorthernRose · 01/02/2020 11:01

Now I finally realise what Prince was singing about!

I'm going down to Alphabet Street
I'm going to park in the first spot that I meet
And when B comes home
Mumsnet will be in for a treat

originalcatlady · 01/02/2020 11:18

@MachineBee B is legal. C's old car wasn't for a long long time. It is possible that "someone" reported her THREE times, leading to multiple clampings that weren't at all funny to observe.

originalcatlady · 01/02/2020 11:34

Right mumsnetters...own up...

There's a campervan/motorhome in X!!! Close, but not touching, B.

OP posts:
Weedsnseeds1 · 01/02/2020 11:39

Maybe Mr X has bought one so his carer can take him on holiday?!

Jiggy16 · 01/02/2020 11:42

This thread is just too exciting, I am constantly checking it! Hope ur ok OP being constantly stuck to your window knowing that people all over the world are waiting for ur updates! Should we send u some food?? Just eat delivery, add another car into the drama, albeit temporarily!

Pashazade · 01/02/2020 11:42

I had to delurk and say Bravo to "whoever" reported C for no MOT, makes me so cross when people think they can be so blasé about their cars safety when it can have a direct impact in others... sorry to be serious, as you were 😉.

Gogolego · 01/02/2020 12:18

Hahaha to the motorbike pitching up

ChoccyJules · 01/02/2020 12:18

I trust when B goes out, the camper an owner will move it right up to the edge of space X, where space 1 begins. Because that would be right and proper.

originalcatlady · 01/02/2020 12:59

@Pashazade yes agreed, it was during the time C had a ban for speeding so be under no illusion that she's a goodie here.

reindeesandchristmastrees · 01/02/2020 14:06

@originalcatlady - does it not look odd that you are constantly looking out or is your front room set up so that you can do it without it looking like you are looking?

anonacfr · 01/02/2020 14:15

Who cares if it looks odd???
This is vital work and we need to know.

(Also if she has neighbours sitting in their cars for hours on end, looking out of one's window can hardly count as odd.)

sunshinesupermum · 01/02/2020 14:28

I used to have my desk in front of my sitting room window so could observe our street shenanigans quite easily (as well as having first dibs at moving my car back in front of our house lol). DD's bedroom window had an even better view if needed #thesethingsareimportant Wink

All seems pretty quiet today originalcatlady

DanceItOut · 01/02/2020 14:31

So how big is this camper van? And is their any chance it isn't a fan of this thread?

Shefliesonherownwings · 01/02/2020 14:43

Oooh a campervan development. Has B noticed it yet?
