Started a new thread on the off chance () that something funny might happen in my street later. Maybe around 10pm...

This has kept me entertained for days op! I think you should go and hire a wee car for a couple of days...we could all chip in

A B C and D couldn't make drives. F and K could.

On our street there is a house who have put up a sign on their wall next to the road...it says parking only for number 42 and they’ve had it made up specially 😂 it’s road parking so they’re no more entitled to that space than anyone else!

If she's just going to get lifts everywhere so that she doesn't lose her parking spot and never move her car then she may as well not have a car at all...

In the spirit of neighbourly support and encouragement, could you get some big numbers on cardboard paddles and all stand there on the pavement whilst B demonstrates her driving skills and does an Austin Powers, laboriously manoeuvring her car into a plenty big enough space, giving her a score at the end - like on Strictly? You probably won't need any numbers above a 3 at the very most

How did the conversation go with B's work colleague.... Yes, you'll have to pick me up, it's absolute chaos here. They've no respect and keep making it difficult for me to park. Yes, yes that's right they're doing it on purpose.... I'll have to just leave my car at home to stop them. ....

Get one of those tacky novelty signs saying "Mini/Mercedes/VW/Yugo/Pickup/Van/Harley Davidson parking only - all others will be towed away and crushed" and put it up right next to their silly effort. It doesn't matter which version you get, as long as it's one that that they definitely don't have. If they complain, tell them that your addition has exactly the same complete lack of legal authority as theirs and is equally as enforceable i.e. not at all - and that the council or any friendly local PCSO will be happy to confirm this for them.

asked dh should we contact our wide spread international family to watch that way we could provide cover in the Emirates, Northern Europe, Indian Subcontinent, The Antipodes, & the USA unfortunately family members no longer live in Africa or China or we could offer them (my dc learnt about time zones very early ) My phone bills use to be astronomical (thank goodness for the internet)

I'm waiting for a thread to start, asking if their work colleague is being a CF for wanting a lift to work and back every day because she's rubbish at parking her own car.

How long till a cf thread pops up "Aibu? Cf asking me for a lift to work because the street she lives in is a parking nightmare." Turns out lady who gives B a lift was only working her shift to cover for someone. That person is now back so lift giver has to do her shift, go to B give B a shift to work. Go home. And repeat when B finishes work and lift giver starts work

Why haven't the workmen got annoyed at the sign movements? Like, couldn't they be sued if there was an accident and the person hadn't seen the sign as it's now on the pavement behind B's car??
