It’s horrible day- freezing light rain that sticks to your & face ice cold wind.

Nevertheless, am I still seeing 6 month old babies being strolled around in the pram wearing nothing but a coat, jeans and socks. No blanket, no raincover. Meanwhile their parents are dawdling by wearing a nice thick coat, a hat and a pair of gloves.

Are these people stupid or lazy? AIBU?

Put on a baby grow and they have feet in already.

My dh hardly ever feels cold and underestimate how cold the kids will get. I bought one of those fleece buggy blankets that you zip them into for precisely this. That way, he doesn't need to remember a blanket, its attached to the pushchair.

If this child was in danger it would’ve flagged up via the gp, health visitor or nursery it obviously has not because there’s nothing to report. Mind your own business

IJustCant you are either hard of thinking or extremely naive if you honestly think this.

I work with Social Services, many children have complex lives. Removing or intervening in a child's life in cases of obvious physical or sexual abuse can happen fairly swiftly, in cases of neglect it can go on for YEARS with each individual that comes across the child no doubt justifying to themselves that maybe patents were just having a bad day Yadda Yadda....

@Firecarrier I’m a care leaver, so can assure you that minor things like this shouldn’t result in immediate response. As I’ve personally been through the system I can assure you that in many cases taking children into care has only hindered them in later life, you may not see this due to social services being so split. They get a social worker for assessment with parent, then a social worker for up to 16 (usually changed 50-60 times) and then one for 16-18yrs and then a personal advisor until 25 you only see a small part
