See diagram below. I WFH and have no life but I'm pretty sure this will be entertaining to the Mumsnet parking thread folk!

House A, no car but X denotes the allocated disabled spot so he can be collected via a side entrance from his house.
House B, one car, has to park with car door level with front door, meaning she always uses space 1&2. Most people are afraid to park here. If someone does, she parks touching their bumper, in some kind of laying down the law attempt and stands there shouting "who's is this?" and similar nonsense.
House C, one car but not usually home, so is either forced to park in space X or further along from X, where there are two spaces in front of a garage.
House D, one car. Usually gets home first so gets space 3.
House E, house with drive.
House F, car but no drive. Usually parks in space 4.
House G, H, I, J have drives.
House K have two cars and no drive. They have been frequently told they are taking over the street and are not allowed to park in space 5, as it blocks house Gs drive and does not allow House F to park in space 4. I do point out that this has the same impact as house F parking in space 4 on me, but apparently not.
House L, house with drive (me).
House M, drive but no car.
House N, house with drive.

Houses B, F, G and M frequently have street gossips/meetings/bitching sessions declaring that people who haven't lived here for a billion years like them, are taking over, who do they think they are, they can't just park where they like etc etc.

So, if you're still with me, this brings me to today. In a spectacular turn of events, house K, who give no shits about fake parking laws, have parked in space 4. Their other car is further along in front of garage, as well as an unknown car.

House F have now come home parked kind of across both X and space 1 (basically leaving house Bs usual space for them). They are watching non stop to ensure they get their space back.

Very unusually, house C is home and has parked in space 2.

So. There is no space left in the street and house B, the most precious and hysterical have nowhere to park. They will return at 10pm.

This actually keeps me entertained daily. Sad I know.

Do you wonder if Mr B , secretly thinks it is funny his bossy wife is getting out parked.

BrightYellowDaffodil · 29/01/2020 16:48

Come on Mr K, come ON!

DesLynamsMoustache · 29/01/2020 16:48

I bet Mr B is very long-suffering and finds the whole thing brilliant

originalcatlady · 29/01/2020 16:51

I think you're all correct. He's a cheeky funny grandfatherly type figure (my DD was in school with their GD).

Hoping mr k hurries home and takes space 1

TipseyTorvey · 29/01/2020 17:06

I am so over invested in this thread. Come On Mr K!!!!

MrsK · 29/01/2020 17:09

Thoroughly enjoying this thread. Although I’m finding all the references to Mr & Mrs K disconcerting. None of my neighbours owns a pink dressing gown, that I’m aware of 🤔

MrsK · 29/01/2020 17:13

My Mr K won’t be home until about 8, he’s going to be too late to nab space 1

ivykaty44 · 29/01/2020 17:15

Mr K and B are yet to return.

We may have fun yet...

Do keep us updated 👍🏻

sockittome123 · 29/01/2020 17:17

GO MR K!

originalcatlady · 29/01/2020 17:17

Mrs K you are safe. The K's are the normal ones. B and F are the weird dressing gown people.

Willing Mr K to arrive first, what time does he normally get home OP?

Skyejuly · 29/01/2020 17:31

I hope he gets in first!

originalcatlady · 29/01/2020 17:34

They haven't been here long enough to have a pattern

He seems to work different hours and have a life and do sports and stuff.

I've actually reached my level of incompetence on this thread, shame, looks like fun.

Iwantacookie · 29/01/2020 17:35

@flouncyfanny I didnt know you could do that. Thank you.

BrevilleTron · 29/01/2020 17:39

I'm loving the idea of hundreds of mumsnetters willing on Mr K and using their collective thinking power to change all his lights to green ....and wishing every Sunday Driver, Learner, Tractor and red light in front of B.

Hanywany · 29/01/2020 17:40

Where abouts are you originalcatlady cos I feel like house B is my old c* neighbour who parked her car onto our bumper then proceeded to shout at me that she was going to stab my baby out of my 5months pregnant belly while waiting scissors at me then also sat on our car!!!! She was a massive c u next tuesday!!

originalcatlady · 29/01/2020 17:42

No she's passive aggressive and bitchy rather than violent.

Hanywany · 29/01/2020 18:00

Oh it was crazy and it went on for about a year I couldn't even get my home delivery shopping in at my front door without the crazy bitch shouting awful things at me or her pedo bf groping himself at me and my daughter! Disgusting pair they were! So glad when they moved, then we moved after that anyway lol!! Its always over parking or fences/hedges isnt it? Mental!!Grin
