See diagram below. I WFH and have no life but I'm pretty sure this will be entertaining to the Mumsnet parking thread folk!

House A, no car but X denotes the allocated disabled spot so he can be collected via a side entrance from his house.
House B, one car, has to park with car door level with front door, meaning she always uses space 1&2. Most people are afraid to park here. If someone does, she parks touching their bumper, in some kind of laying down the law attempt and stands there shouting "who's is this?" and similar nonsense.
House C, one car but not usually home, so is either forced to park in space X or further along from X, where there are two spaces in front of a garage.
House D, one car. Usually gets home first so gets space 3.
House E, house with drive.
House F, car but no drive. Usually parks in space 4.
House G, H, I, J have drives.
House K have two cars and no drive. They have been frequently told they are taking over the street and are not allowed to park in space 5, as it blocks house Gs drive and does not allow House F to park in space 4. I do point out that this has the same impact as house F parking in space 4 on me, but apparently not.
House L, house with drive (me).
House M, drive but no car.
House N, house with drive.

Houses B, F, G and M frequently have street gossips/meetings/bitching sessions declaring that people who haven't lived here for a billion years like them, are taking over, who do they think they are, they can't just park where they like etc etc.

So, if you're still with me, this brings me to today. In a spectacular turn of events, house K, who give no shits about fake parking laws, have parked in space 4. Their other car is further along in front of garage, as well as an unknown car.

House F have now come home parked kind of across both X and space 1 (basically leaving house Bs usual space for them). They are watching non stop to ensure they get their space back.

Very unusually, house C is home and has parked in space 2.

So. There is no space left in the street and house B, the most precious and hysterical have nowhere to park. They will return at 10pm.

This actually keeps me entertained daily. Sad I know.

So in summary the only person with no right to be where they have parked is. . .B

Lunafortheloveogod · 28/01/2020 22:31

Shamelessly coming in to plonk my arse down with a cuppa n wait on M coming to tell B to fuck off while K laughs like a maniac..

I secretly hope K’s gone on holiday/injured themselves so they cannot possibly move the car for a good while.. not that it helps you op.

StarspaXxX · 28/01/2020 22:31

Glue the note down with nutella.

originalcatlady · 28/01/2020 22:31

M are the elderly ones without a car. They've gone to bed as I heard their burglar alarm set. They're pissy with me but I think they wouldn't dare argue with B.

FAQs · 28/01/2020 22:32

What time is M and B likely to wake up in the morning, wondering if I should set my alarm.

SuzieSunshine · 28/01/2020 22:32

I had to print off the diagram an follow your updates OP!! You'll have to make sure you are up and watch the drama unfold - shame M hasn't got a car. Bookmarking ready for tomorrow!!

Gibble1 · 28/01/2020 22:32

Oh! It’s going DOWN isn’t it?!

LolaSkoda · 28/01/2020 22:33

Thanks! I did read the thread but lost track of who M was!

OP, please can you set up a go fund me so that I can donate to a top of a range external cctv camera for your house?!

YasssKween · 28/01/2020 22:33

Is M likely to engage in #parkinggate and write CT on B's windscreen? It doesn't sound like it but it would be a glorious development.

B really isn't being consistent by parking in someone's drive where she isn't authorised to do so.

It's almost like one rule for M, one rule for everyone else. Every street has an M. And to be fair to (the)M they are usually pretty entertaining 😂

originalcatlady · 28/01/2020 22:33

Well that's if B goes to bed...she's gone inside and opened her blinds and is sitting watching the cars outside.

I really hope M have a 7am nurse appt in the morning or nurse/family visit and have to block the drive, just at the time B needs to leave Grin

NigellaAwesome · 28/01/2020 22:35

What sort of age is B? Does she work?

mummmy2017 · 28/01/2020 22:35

Dare you to go out to your car to get something.
Bet B runs out to see if you know which car stole her space.

SuzieSunshine · 28/01/2020 22:36

What sort of age bracket are B and K in?

originalcatlady · 28/01/2020 22:36

B will be on the late shift again tomorrow and so her curtains are often still closed at midday.

Bet not tomorrow

You HAVE to go and put the recycling out. Or call the cat, even if you don't have one.

glitterbiscuits · 28/01/2020 22:37

If there was a prize for a car parking thread you would get gold.

It's like an 11 Plus question. Love it

LittleDragonGirl · 28/01/2020 22:37

Can just imagine the chaos when K go to get into their car tomorrow!

originalcatlady · 28/01/2020 22:38

B is mid/late 50s
K are young couple, first time buyers ?25
M is about 90

BrightYellowDaffodil · 28/01/2020 22:38

Please tell us that M’s drive has lockable gates, and that M might just be fucked off enough with B having annexed their drive to lock said gates, thus impounding B (which I am assuming stands for Batshit Bertha)’s car?

originalcatlady · 28/01/2020 22:39

@LittleDragonGirl ohhhh everyone will be out swapping spaces🤣

OP posts:
originalcatlady · 28/01/2020 22:40

M does not have gates. Can't decide which way they will go as they can be batshit with me and like things their own way and are very obsessive about their property but also don't like K.

OP posts:
MsPepperPotts · 28/01/2020 22:41

I hope she blows a flipping gasket!
Crazy batshit woman
