Kids peeing on my garden on school run

Not sure if I'm being unreasonable or not tbh.

My son has just walked home from school and said he saw a kid with parent peeing on my garden. It is school run time and we are near the school. The school isn't that far away and there is a drain on the road near my driveway next to where the car the kid was in was parked. There is also an alleyway that is more private a few steps away.

I feel annoyed that they chose to pee on my garden specifically of all the places. My son says he's seen it happen before as well. I know they have to go but maybe carry a potty, distract them and get them to a private place or back to school.

I know animals pee on my garden but its seems a bit disrespectful? I also know it won't harm my garden.

i would be saying something.

isabellerossignol · 28/01/2020 16:04

Who the hell do they think they are? I'd be saying something too.

The parked their car and brought the child into your garden for a wee?! Do you have a gate you can lock?

Purpleartichoke · 28/01/2020 16:05

I highly suspect it was not a generic “kid” it was a boy. Somehow girls manage to make it to actual proper facilities.

I8toys · 28/01/2020 16:05

I might write to the school and complain that instead of parking problems I have pissing problems!

People can be such arseholes about potty training their kids. Whipping out potties in supermarkets, cafes, cinemas, etc, and telling anyone objecting that they need to not be so uptight.
I’d be tempted to set up a timed sprinkler system if I were you, op.

Casino218 · 28/01/2020 16:09

Ooh timed sprinkler system. Cool 😁

I8toys · 28/01/2020 16:10

Getting the husband on it - between the hours of 0830-0900 and 1530-1600hrs!

Leave a loo roll out with a sign saying 'smile, you're on cctv'

Poor kid growing up with a parent like that.

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 28/01/2020 16:12

Disgusting!

Post on your local FB buy and sell pages that it happened and the next time they do it you will be posting their photos Grin

MeanwhileAtNumber98 · 28/01/2020 16:12

I would tell the school, they could send a letter home surely? Some people are unbelievably inconsiderate or just lack decency which is most likely the case here!

WorraLiberty · 28/01/2020 16:13

No that's wrong.

We have an amenity green on the corner of our road and only last week, I saw a woman holding a little girl (about 2 or 3 years old) in a sort of squatting position but in the air and she was peeing on the green.

NumbersStation · 28/01/2020 16:16

I’d be lurking with a power washer or garden hose.

Aimed at the parent.

Rubyupbeat · 28/01/2020 16:21

I would turn a hose on them

Chemenger · 28/01/2020 16:21

I’ve seen a mother holding up a little girl to pee in a bus shelter.

FizzyIce · 28/01/2020 16:24

That’s gross .
I’d also maybe put up a cctv sign.
Yuck

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 28/01/2020 16:27

I’ve seen parents holding a child in the air to do a poo, so you got off lightly.

Honestly, some people just don’t think.

Equanimitas · 28/01/2020 16:28

Put up a large fake camera.

Wheresthebiffer2 · 28/01/2020 16:28

What age was the kid? if it was a toddler, it might just about be excusable as a one off - as they sometimes have emergency needs - but an older child - that would be unreasonable to use your garden.

recrudescence · 28/01/2020 16:29

Give them both barrels of your 12 bore. Shoot over their heads obvs.

Singsongbird · 28/01/2020 16:30

@WorraLiberty Oh no, I've been caught short with my kids when just new to potty training and taken them behind a tree in a similar fashion. Maybe it was me you saw!

nocluewhattodoo · 28/01/2020 16:30

I'd also tell the school, it's disgusting behaviour from the parent. Sadly these sorts of people are rarely embarrassed.

I8toys · 28/01/2020 16:30

I daren't check to see if its a number 2

Notso · 28/01/2020 16:32

Two of mine (one boy and one girl btw) when potty training just randomly pulled down their trousers and pants and did a wee in an inappropriate place. It was mortifying. Thankfully it only happened once each.
Could it have been it was that situation?

If not encourage nettle growth!

I8toys · 28/01/2020 16:34

My 14 year old, who gets rarely disgusted by anything tbh, just said there's people peeing on the garden again! What I didn't know there was a first time.
