Was going to put this in chat but thought I’d opt for the voting to get a clearer picture!
Dds and I eat the skin of the kiwi fruit. Dh and ds think we are weird. It’s much quicker, I’m sure it’s really nutritious and there’s less waste (okay, actually I just started eating the skin when I realised I was too lazy to bother peeling them).
I put it to you, good people of MN, AW(we)BU?

Yeah it's fine.

CustardSlicesOnesNeverEnough · 27/01/2020 20:47

In the words of my nr 2 Yr old when a bit was left in hers by accident is, ' no kukky' (yukky)

Skyejuly · 27/01/2020 20:47

I love the skin.

greenlavender · 27/01/2020 20:47

Ugh no

EvaHarknessRose · 27/01/2020 20:48

I do. Everyone thinks am weird.

ItsGoingTibiaK · 27/01/2020 20:48

I own a kiwifruit peeler. The fact such a thing exists answers your question, OP

I own a potato peeler. I still like a jacket spud. Nevertheless, the OP is still BU!

IHaveBrilloHair · 27/01/2020 20:49

Ewwww, no.
I eat them like a boiled egg, slice off the top then eat the inside with a spoon, no skin.

ButterflyBitch · 27/01/2020 20:50

It’s furry, you weirdo!

schoolcook · 27/01/2020 20:50

I eat the skin and enjoy it.

Bluntness100 · 27/01/2020 20:50

No that would be horrible. I can't believe you actually enjoy it.

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually · 27/01/2020 20:50

NO! cut in half and eat with teaspoon.

DrWAnker · 27/01/2020 20:50

Well you can.
But you just fucking don't.

Mummymummums · 27/01/2020 20:51

Nope. No way.

NannyR · 27/01/2020 20:51

I usually eat them like a boiled egg, slice the top off and scoop out the middle with a teaspoon. If I'm slicing it, I leave the skin on, if it's thinly sliced you don't notice the hairiness.

lovingllamaa · 27/01/2020 20:52

I’m shocked at all the people peeing kiwis. I always just presumed everyone cuts it in half and scoops it out with a spoon.

TheChosenTwo · 27/01/2020 20:53

Haha yes, I do accept that I’m weird in general but I’m shocked at the amount of you who don’t eat the skin Grin
Yeah I guess it’s furry and fuzzy but so are raspberries and we don’t remove the fluffiness from those so...
no problems with constipation - probably because of the skin eating!
And no, I wouldn’t eat the skin of a banana - or the insides for that matter, disgusting fruit.
And apologies, I did mean the fruit rather than the bird, should have clarified that so as not to cause alarm. Although I do eat the skin of a chicken.

Best bit!!

Lazydaisydaydream · 27/01/2020 20:54

Err I didn't realise anybody removed the skin Blush I've always eaten it! It's my favourite part! My DS will suck at the middle and then I eat the skin! Grin

IHaveBrilloHair · 27/01/2020 20:55

It's not the fur that bothers me, it's the tough chewiness.

tiredsleepysleep · 27/01/2020 20:56

Nooooo you complete weirdo!! Chop it in half and scoop the fruit out with a tea spoon. Throw the weird furry skin in the bin. Like a normal person!

VerbenaGirl · 27/01/2020 20:56

No. They are very furry and kind of dusty?

ViveLEntenteCordiale · 27/01/2020 20:57

Ugh no, even thinking about it is making my mouth feel yucky! I don't even eat peach skin!

AllergicToAMop · 27/01/2020 20:58

Y'all peel your kiwis?
I cut them in half and eat them with a teaspoon especially the gold ones

inwood · 27/01/2020 20:58

Good grief no! What is appetising about that?!

AllergicToAMop · 27/01/2020 20:58

No skin though!
