Re. my holiday allowance?

I started a new job last June - holiday year runs 1st January to 3st December. I work 3 days a week - 5 hours a day, totalling 15 hours a week.
My colleague works 42.5 hours a week and receives 20 days holiday. I get 7. This means I can only take 2 full weeks off per year, which is really not great for me, being a single parent. It's really difficult to find childcare during the school holidays! Am I right in thinking that this has been worked out wrong? I see where they've got this figure from - I work roughly a third of the hours my colleague does, therefore. I get a third of the holiday days too. But this would be based on full, 8.5 hour days wouldn't it?
Help!!

not sure if someone else has mentioned this but you are entitled to Parental Leave for every child under 18 - it is not paid but could go a little way to help with the difficult summer hols..

I've just told DH that I don't have enough leave to take 2 weeks off this summer. He sputtered "you get more leave than me."
Oh really? I get 30 days, but 8 are bank holidays and another 4 we're shut.
I've only worked there 12 years, can't expect him to have realised this in such a short time Hmm

Can you use 7 x 8.5 hours = 59.5 hours to use?
You're right, you should receive the same proportion to what your colleague gets in hours.

Too complicated for me op. Sorry

@dementedpixie I've checked & it says the full time staff get 27 days plus bank hol. We do get some extra when it's closed at xmas, but contribute some of our hol to this. ?? 🤯
