To ask you to tell me how old I look?

I was insulted today and told I look much older than I am. Could I ask you to tell me how old you think?

Agree. I worked alongside a plastic surgeon and he always said he could spot a smoker from 50 paces.

I also think Kate Moss looks older than 45. Compare her to Nigella Lawson who is 60. KM has a very weather beaten face- you can tell she's lived hard. It shows.

Nope. I have never ever EVER met someone who I thought was YEARS younger than they actually were...

I have had a few occasions where someone was 40-43, and I thought they were in their early to mid 30s at first glance, but when I looked closer, I could see they were in their 40s.

And I have never ever seen anyone who looks more than 7-8 years younger than their actual age. Never. They just don't .... not when you look properly.

Some people have botox and other various anti-ageing procedures, but they rarely make them look younger. Maybe 3-4 years tops. I know a woman who is 53, and she has always looked her age. She recently had a facelift, to try and make herself look younger. But she doesn't look younger, she just looks like a 53 year old woman who has had a facelift.

well, also, Lawson has had a ton of fillers and botox so that helps.

Plus Lawson will probably have a healthier diet due to her knowledge of food being a chef.

You think Kate Moss has never had Botox? 🤣

Lawson is 15 years older than KM though- there's a limit to what botox and fillers can do.

Plus, I dont believe KM hasn't had some kind of help. Her entire career is based on her looks

You can have no wrinkles and still look 50.
Nobody who is 45 looks 20....

Anyway, OP you've had some mean replies. I thought mid-late 40s.

Things that will help: SPF 50 every day. Retinol, vitamin c.
Lasers are amazing for sun damaged skin, they reduce lines and stimulate collagen.

You say you haven't looked after your skin. Nows the time to step it up.
You are very pretty and a few changes (stopping smoking)will really make a difference.

I don't know, but if she has, it hasn't worked very well! I like Kate Moss and I don't think she cares a bit about looking her age.

Oh and Kate Moss recently had lasers and botox. You can really tell but it's good work and helped her skin. She still smokes though

KM gets away with it to a certain extent due to her amazing bone structure (her whole body hangs off those cheekbones darling!)

But she is a good example of how low body fat/smoking/tanning is very ageing

Nigella Lawson is attractive, and yeah she does look a bit younger than 60. But as a pp said she has had fillers/procedures.

Even with those though - although she looks a bit younger than 60 - she still doesn't look more than 5-8 years younger than her age.

All glossed up and shiny on the telly is all well and good. But when you see her in a candid shot, well........... yep she definitely doesn't look much younger than her age.
