To ask you to tell me how old I look?

I was insulted today and told I look much older than I am. Could I ask you to tell me how old you think?

I guess. Usually its "everyone thinks im 25!!" though, not "I was once asked for ID". But I see what youre saying. It just comes across as a bit delusional though

I have had a few people thinking I was younger but then I’ve also had it said that I’ve a youthful personality which in turn can make people think your younger.

I once went into a bookies for change and they wouldn’t give me it because, and I quote I was ‘too short to be over 18’

People on this thread are absolutely shocking at guessing, either that or very bloody kind.

Ok, been reading some thread. No I would not believe you if you said you were 42.

This thread is fascinating. Some people seem really angered by it.

I'm terrible at guessing ages, I can't narrow my guess down to a small range because so many variables make such a big difference.

Well one woman was pretty rude to me as me and my friends were in a restaurant (this was 2 years ago) and and we got talking to this group of women at the table next to us and she said to me “what age are you because you seem very young by the way you speak” and I asked her what on earth she meant and she said I spoke about mundane things like an excitable 16 year old and I’ve had a couple of people tell me that I seem ‘youthful’ and they didn’t mean with the way I looked so I guess I can be ‘excitable’, I’m definitely what you would call bubbly!

The people that are angered aren’t even the ones who have posted a photo and been told they look older than they are so I don’t understand wtf their problem is!

42? Even with filters? I was WAY off there. I'm half-Asian but inherited my white mother's pale skin, which I sun damaged so I look ragged but do snigger at 'I look 10-20 years younger' because everyone I've met who truly does never says that.

I'd say 65 but it really is hard to judge when you account for smoking, sun bed use, over use of foundation etc.

I'm wondering if those saying that the OP looks her age are all in their 20's and 30's?

zeeboo I'm very close to 50 and thought the OP was in mid-50s. I find filters utterly ridiculous, though.

I think you look older than 42, OP. I'm 42 and I probably look it. My sister in law is 51, and your photos reminded me very much of her. She's also very slim and was a heavy smoker for about 30 years.

I only got halfway through the thread... can't stop laughing that somebody with the username "Almost40AndWeeping" genuinely posted a picture and asked people to guess her age!

And here is another reason not to smoke. Adds at least 10 years.

I think most people look within at least 5 years of their age, either direction.

^^yep me too. People often think I'm younger than I am but they have placed me as late 30s rather than early 40s. Friends who look older for their age deffo don't look more than 10 years older than me...!
