To be annoyed at CF parking

Gotten home from school drop off and a bit of shopping to find an unknown white van parked on the drive outside my house. No sign of anyone anywhere, loads of public places to park. It’s been there an hour now. I am tempted to block him in but don’t want to wake the baby if they return banging the door down. AIBU for being pissed off - WWYD?

Yes the land is all part of our house on the deeds - we’ve only been here a couple of years so definitely sure.

Might it be something like a lift-share? Friend or colleague regularly passes your road and has told the van driver that if he parks his vehicle up on Worst Wife Way, they'll take him the rest of the journey?

If it's still there just before your CF neighbour gets home, you could always kill two birds with one stone and stick a huge sign to the side or back of the van saying 'County Dog Warden: Irresponsible Defecation Canine Confiscation Branch'.

If it hadn't been deleted, the next update was going to be that Baz & Gaz were actually aliens and they'd telepathised the two mysterious Earth Meatbag Transportational Devices into place so that they could study the relational behaviour of the trio of them in a serial close-contact public highway ecology, intending to analyse their findings and transpond the data back to the planet Zanussi.

Maybe there should be a row of virtual Poang chairs in MN Naughty Corner for trolls. They could locate it next to Flouncer's Corner and let them irritate each other until the end of time.

If there are no signs that it's private property & it's conceivable that they think they are OK to park there, wouldn't it be best to correct them?

I agree. They have driven past the last house and park at, what they think, is the end of the road.

They may have made a genuine mistake but where are they and what are they doing? If they’re work men they surely would park where they are working

From the photo can two cars pass on that road? I think they have parked where they (think they) are least likely to cause an obstruction. Maybe wherever they are working has a skip on the drive or is already full of other vehicles?

If you are done for the day and don’t need to go out again just block them in and refuse to answer the door when they inevitably come knocking.

You said it's block paved - anyone who doesn't realise that it's a private drive is too stupid to be safe to drive!

If you don't want to block them in, but do want to avoid them sneaking off, put your wheelie bins behind them.
They will have to move them and hopefully the delay and noise will alert you.
Don't go out, just lean out an upstairs window and ask what they thought they were doing parking on your drive.
