Anyone found guilty you think is innocent?

Lots of crime series around lately.

It does make you think especially ones where people have been accused of murder but there was no body or DNA.

Peter Adamson was found not guilty in court but later admitted to a journalist that he did do it albeit, he says, with no sexual intent.

He later denied the confession.

Ginger1982 · 18/01/2020 11:45

"Peter Adamson was found not guilty in court but later admitted to a journalist that he did do it albeit, he says, with no sexual intent."

How bizarre. What would his reason be otherwise? 🤔

Nodancingshoes · 18/01/2020 12:10

I've looked into the Amanda Knox case extensively in the past. She didn't do it and she was not involved. There is NO evidence that points to her or her boyfriend at all. She implicated the bartender under intense pressure from the Italian police. I also read a book about the Perugia where it happened. Interestingly, despite total lack of evidence, almost ALL the locals believe she was guilty. Power of the media I suppose

Verily1 · 19/01/2020 10:57

No one’s said they think OJ is innocent.

Not surprising

I'm convinced Anan Syed is guilty. And Steven Avery.

Brandon Massey and Curtis Flowers innocent.

Plus Burke did it.

ToEarlyForDecorations · 19/01/2020 14:31

Plus Burke did it.

That's what I thought too. There was a two part documentary about the Jon Benet Ramsay case. I believe her murder was done by a family member. Some say Burke, her brother did it and his parents covered it up. Some say her father did it and the mother knew.

Lucy Letby

jimmyhill · 19/01/2020 16:58

(not found guilty except by the court of public opinion. She hasn't even been charged yet.)

WhereTheCowsGoBong · 19/01/2020 21:51

Amanda Knox.

Louise Woodward? Oh, I had forgotten about that case, but yeah, I never thought she was guilty.

Sion Jenkins- I had my doubts on him too. I believe he could have been capable of it (apparently physically abused Billie-Jo) but just not enough solid evidence. Too much doubt there.

Babynut1 · 19/01/2020 21:56

Yes David Morris. He was convicted of killing a woman, her mother and her two children.
Someone completely unrelated to the case has recently written a book on the Clydach Murders in Swansea. It’s worth a read.
I think Dai Morris is innocent and I think her police officer girlfriend and her husband were involved.

The judge summed up saying who ever committed the murders was forensically aware. Dai Morris was a small time crook, not some criminal mastermind. However a family of police officers??
South Wales Police also have a history of miscarriages of justice.
Highly recommend reading the book.

Been very interesting reading back thoriugh this thread to previous posts. The Margaret Fleming case chilled me to the core when I read it. Horribly disturbing. I have no doubt her caregivers/guardians did it though.

Graphista

STOP perpetuating abuse myths er- I read SheSawHorsesHorsesHorses post and she does say that she herself is a survivor of CSA- did you not see that bit?
re: abusers abusing in secret though- I agree with you, some sexual offences can be committed in public. In my early teens I had a man try to finger me in a crowded public place. I never reported it, it was one incident in my childhood and teens of several, am afraid. I think an actual rape may be harder to pull off in front of witnesses though, though not impossible. Also maybe there were others involved- I think we cannot be sure either way re: Cliff R.

movingdilemma1234 · 20/01/2020 08:06

I've never believed Michael Stone murdered Lin and Megan Russell and attempted to murder Josie Russell in 1996.

x2boys · 20/01/2020 08:39

I always thought Louise Woodward was innocent ,a friend of mine was actually au pairing in Boston at the time of the trial.and took great interest in the trial as it was televised she thought ,the toddler brother could have been a little rough( as toddlers can be ) and could have caused an injury, I do find it extraordinary that a professional couple would hire an au pair to care for their very young children ,at Paris are not trained nannies and are often very young and my friend got an allowance rather than being paid.

x2boys · 20/01/2020 08:40

Au pairs*

HighNetGirth · 20/01/2020 11:11

Amanda Knox: don’t know about the murder itself, but the ‘intense pressure’ narrative about her implicating Lumumba irritates me. I think it is a bit too glib, personally. It was a terrible thing to do and he was only exonerated quickly by chance: an alibi witness from abroad happened to see a newspaper report and was able to travel back to Italy to give a statement.

ChameleonCircuit · 20/01/2020 14:59

stephenhamiltonisinnocent.com/about/

A friend is involved with the team behind Stephen Hamilton. From the little I know, I don’t think he’s guilty.

Highonpotandused · 20/01/2020 15:05

@Kalifa

Amanda Knox is guilty as hell. I read a book written by Meredith Kercher’s father and so many evidence points at Knox. She changed her story a couple of times before and during the investigation that it stinks. She is a lying little snake and it’s sad that people believe she is innocent just because she is an attractive young woman. They think a nice face can’t be rotten behind the mask.

You pronounced her guilty after one book? I hope you are never on a jury. •shudders•

TheresWaldo · 20/01/2020 19:15

There is no solid evidence that points at Amanda Knox. The real killer left his DNA everywhere at the scene. People only believe she is guilty because of the way she was portrayed by the press and forget her boyfriend of a few days was supposedly there as well.

Troy Davis - sadly death row has already taken him, however i believe him and countless other prisoners have been killed that are innocent.

I also think Burke did it!

Allcrimps · 29/01/2020 18:43

Haven't rtft but will come back to other I'm a true crime addict. Dai Morris of the Clydach Murders. Most obvious fit up I've ever come across. If you haven't heard of the case, there's an excellent book about it. This man needs to be freed.

Miniwinnie · 29/01/2020 22:26

I have doubts over Luke Mitchell’s conviction. If anyone is interested there is a 3 part James English podcast on YouTube with his mum, a criminologist and a polygraph specialist that is a very interesting watch.

Reluctantbettlynch · 29/01/2020 23:39

Another coming to ask you all to read about the Clydach murders. I have never believed Dai Morris was guilty.
The more voices the better the chance of this being looked at officially.
Interesting that the female officer involved was also the woman who crashed in to a horse drawn hearse, killing the horses, and was not charged - throughout that she was referred to by an alias so many people didn't connect her.
There needs to be a forensic review and a full investigation of swp
