Posting here for traffic. What's good to watch? I loved Madam Secretary and New Amsterdam. Also interested in decent movies, no horror, nothing too dark.

Good Omens. Michael Sheen's finest hour.

BeenN77 · 15/01/2020 12:29

Some have already mentioned brilliant ones.

Fresh of the Boat
The Good Fight (follow on from the good wife, with alot of The Donald trashing)
Hot in Cleveland (if only Bette White was a friend!)
Parks and Recreation
The Middle
Hanna
The Magicians (I know you said nothing too dark and it might be a matter of tastes - but this one, imo, is fantastic, even if there are dark moments)

No one for Treadstone?!

QuestionableMouse · 15/01/2020 15:56

Does treadstone get better? I watched the first three episodes and just couldn't get into it.

HoundOfTheBasketballs · 15/01/2020 16:04

Can't believe no one has mentioned Preacher yet. Utterly bonkers but very watchable. If a little violent.

I also like Goliath and Mr Robot which have already been mentioned.

Cocolapew · 15/01/2020 19:16

Treadstone as in Jason Bourne?

Youngatheart00 · 15/01/2020 19:18

Another vote for This is Us!

TrueFriendsStabYouInTheFront · 15/01/2020 19:48

Last Man on Earth is hilariously funny, can't believe no one has mentioned this yet

Also another vote for Parks & Rec and Life in Pieces

QuestionableMouse · 15/01/2020 20:59

@Cocolapew yep, though not Bourne. It's a prequel/expanded universe type thing.

Cocolapew · 15/01/2020 21:12

Oh thanks, I'll check it out.

longwayoff · 15/01/2020 21:54

Pratchett lovers, his documentary farewell is on bbc2 now. I miss his humanity and wit.

Outlander
Lie to me (you will be watching people very closely after this series)
Life in pieces

Inappropriatefemale · 16/01/2020 01:21

Mary Kay Letourneau autobiography is good, it’s only one part but it’s very interesting if you like things like this.

MKL had sex with her then 13 year old student when she was his teacher in her 30s (America of course) and she was married with 4 kids, she went to prison twice and had 2 of the 13 year olds’ kids, well that 13 year old is now 36 and he and MKL are still together! She’s batshit crazy and blames him for being the ‘aggressor’Shock

Goingabitcrazy · 16/01/2020 01:43

The US office. Have watched it through 3 times (in the space of a couple years) hilarious!

SinkGirl · 16/01/2020 06:30

US Office is fantastic (first series isn’t great but it’s short and still funny - from series 2 it becomes absolutely brilliant). Didn’t realise it was on prime.

First 3 series of Lucifer are on Netflix. Paper thin but really quite fun.
