Posting here for traffic. What's good to watch? I loved Madam Secretary and New Amsterdam. Also interested in decent movies, no horror, nothing too dark.

Can I ask if Parks and Recreation is on Prime? I get mixed answers when I google.

kingkuta · 14/01/2020 20:03

I didn't realise the Tudors was on there now, that's the rest of my evening sorted Smile

CaptainHammer · 14/01/2020 20:03

I signed up to Prime to watch Marvellous Mrs Maisel, it’s brilliant!
Just started Man In The High Castle too which I’m enjoying so far though it isn’t a light watch.

kingkuta · 14/01/2020 20:05

Yes januarysickntiredofyou. All seasons of P&R included with Prime

januarysickntiredofyou · 14/01/2020 20:11

Thanks kingkuta. I think I'll sign up as I've wanted to watch it for ages!

MrsBethel · 14/01/2020 20:25

Man in the High Castle is good.

‘This is us’ was a bit cringe for me. It’s very American.

hayser33 · 14/01/2020 20:38

Home and Away from the very beginning!!

SimonJT · 14/01/2020 20:40

The boys, even if it’s just for chace crawford in that outfit.

Buddyelf · 14/01/2020 20:42

The Boys, it’s brilliant. Best series I watched last year. It’s pretty violent but a great twist on the normal super hero stuff. Just started Carbival Row and it’s good so far

Trewser · 14/01/2020 20:50

Catastrophe is brill. Even dh loved it.

Might try Halt And Catch Fire

30not13 · 14/01/2020 20:57

Life in pieces

Pollaidh · 14/01/2020 21:02

The Bureau - is a French spy series set in the French spy agency. It's very well written and gripping. If you liked The Night Manager you would enjoy it.

Chernobyl is now available on Prime too. It is excellent.

Good Omens is quite good. DH liked Outlander.
Assume you've already been through the iplayer boxsets like Fleabag and Gentleman Jack.

boys3 · 14/01/2020 21:41

Big thumbs up for Mrs Maisel.

Outlander - looking forward to the new season.

The Americans is excellent.

Surprisingly I found myself taking an interest in the two Jack Ryan seasons. A hit with the rest of the household.

VetOnCall · 14/01/2020 21:50

Box Sets:
Catastrophe - one of my all-time favourite series, if you haven't seen it, start now!
Fleabag
Chernobyl
The Fall
Parks & Recreation
Dawson's Creek for a nostalgia fest

Ongoing Series:
This Is Us
The Man in the High Castle
The Walking Dead
Vikings
The Grand Tour (I love it but but JC & co. aren't to everyone's taste)
New Amsterdam

longwayoff · 14/01/2020 22:45

@Whatsnewpussyhat, no Pratchett? You are missing out. If you liked Good Omens there's a good chance you'll like his writing. He's very clever at noticing what makes us tick and is also very funny. Don't bother with any of the other films based on his work though, they're miscast, poorly scripted and not worth bothering with.

Llareggub · 14/01/2020 22:51

I’m so glad others are feeling the love for Halt and Catch Fire. Truly one of the best shows I have ever seen.

I also liked: Unreal, Start Up (which has a character played by Martin Freeman in a role that is very unlike him) and The Americans. I like The Bold Type too for some background noise when cleaning.

AllergicToAMop · 14/01/2020 23:12

Oh my! Chernobyl on Prime!
Must rewatch!Blush

EnglishRose13 · 14/01/2020 23:28
