Posting here for traffic. What's good to watch? I loved Madam Secretary and New Amsterdam. Also interested in decent movies, no horror, nothing too dark.

I am loving Modern Love. Each episode is 30 minutes and they stand alone. So far the second episode with Dev Patel has been amazing and Anne Hathaway in the third episode was outstanding.

blackteaplease · 14/01/2020 18:54

@MyFartWillGoOn we are on ep 4 of the boys. It's very good.

Oh I also enjoyed startup

American Gods (Neil Gaiman masterpiece but you need to be comfortable with not knowing wtf is going on for a good while)
Halt and Catch Fire (Reading the description you’ll think it sounds crud but it’s about the people and is genuinely one of the best things I’ve watched in a long time but takes a couple of episodes to get into)
Preacher (only really applicable if you really like the graphic novels it’s based on but it is really funny)
Another vote for Vikings
Life in pieces (throwaway entertainment)
And last one (cause I could go on forever) is called Forever. (You’ll think it’s one thing at the end of the first episode but it’s not - don’t watch spoilers or read about it though or you’ll ruin the fun of it)

Have fun I wish I could watch some of the above for the first time again Smile

Halt and Catch Fire is brilliant. I agree with poster above, it sounds a bit dull but the characters are gripping. I was gutted when I finished it.

The Man in the High Castle is great too. It's got an element I didn't expect, but I still loved it.

I enjoyed Lie to me quite a bit, but it's quite different to those already mentioned.

AnneLovesGilbert · 14/01/2020 19:45

Catastrophe! We hammered it in a few days and it’s an utter joy. Loved it. Watch it!

If you like Sci Fi with a political slant The Expanse is great.

And as of next week:
