Oh God help. On a date and can't eat the food (lighthearted!!)

On a date with a lovely fella who is a good cook. We've been out before and had a fab time.

Just been presented with a plate of steak and the smell of it is turning my stomach. There's no way I can eat it.

He's in the kitchen (faffing). No pets about to slip it to... Should I shove it in my bag?

Coming back, beb

I cried a small bit

Then chaos ensued.

Which was it then? A wee cry or 'chaos'? GrinGrin

Are you having fun trying to trip me up on everything? Is it filling some void in your life?

Bit sick of it now tbh...

Ha🤣 good one

TeddybearBaby · 11/01/2020 19:35

I’m glad it all worked out in the end, will be a good story to tell your kids one day 🤣

hambledon · 11/01/2020 19:37

This is like the thread about eating pizza on a date and feeling sick because of the smell of air freshener on his beard.

Langpants · 11/01/2020 20:22

Gosh OP. Pandora’s box opened with some of these posters. 😂 Exhausting for you. People need to lighten up.
Glad you got your toast and some sexytime. 😋

Aridane · 11/01/2020 20:46

My favourite bit of the thread is the poster asking why he went out to buy bread to make toast? And a poster responding because he had no bread and shops sell it. Sorry - but that cracks me up (don't know why)

midnightmisssuki · 11/01/2020 20:50

Gosh OP you sound bloody dramatic. 🤷🏻‍♀️

JanusLooksBothWays · 11/01/2020 20:56

There are some seriously sad cows in here tonight.

Holyshitbags · 11/01/2020 21:02

Well I’m glad all’s we’ll that ends well OP
Think the treatment you got last night was a little harsh.
I’ve read it tonight and it gave me a little lol (sorry) reminded me of the first meal I cooked my now husband - decided on making green Thai curry from scratch - he is vegetarian and I was doing really well until he picked up the thai green curry paste jar (after eating the delicious Thai green curry) and discovering that there is fish products in it 😬
He still married me 😁😁😂

Leflic · 11/01/2020 21:08

I was sick and cried at peas from a CAN. Bleurgh.

AlaskaElfForGin · 11/01/2020 21:15

Ah come on, I'm only messing, I didn't mean to upset you, I apologise if I did @QuestionableMouse, I thought it was a light-hearted thread. Flowers

Firsttimemumkatie · 11/01/2020 22:07

This was wild from start to finish

QuestionableMouse · 12/01/2020 00:20

Thanks @AlaskaElfForGin

Just got a bit sick of everyone basically telling me I was rude and a lier 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you op you’ve made my night reading this, had a little bit of a giggle and then was happy to read that the rest of your date went well. He does sound like a lovely fella and I’m glad all was well eventually FlowersCake

LynetteScavo · 12/01/2020 07:42

I can't get past peas from a can Shock

and no pudding??

EerieSilence · 12/01/2020 07:57

@LynetteScavo the pudding was what the OP didn’t want to go into detail about, duh

Happinessinapeartree · 12/01/2020 12:10

You were ill, he was attentive and kind, you felt better then he was attentive in another way.

I like the sound of this guy!

A keeper.

hellsbellsmelons · 13/01/2020 08:16

It all ended well.
He sounds like a nice chap.
And good in bed as well!
You go!

LeaderBee · 13/01/2020 13:34

I hope OP doesn't vomit over every bit of meat that goes in her mouth...

Damntheman · 13/01/2020 14:11

Sounds like something was wrong with the steak, which they both noticed. So OP vomiting after putting some in her mouth sounds perfectly reasonable to me!

OP I also cry every time I throw up, and I'm also a grown woman. Vomitting is one of the worst things I know, I hate it, I'm afraid of it, and crying is an involuntary action. I am usually pretty badass when it comes to pain and illness, but vomitting will ALWAYS make me cry. There's no shame in that.

Monty27 · 14/01/2020 04:16

Ah. Poor you OP. Are you seeing him again or has he poisoned you?
Great story Smile

QuestionableMouse · 14/01/2020 12:34

Definitely seeing each other again!
