to say that bras affect my mental health?

I wish I was joking! I truly hate them. When I wear one, it's all I can think about and it honestly puts me in a massive strop!!!!

I hate how they give me back fat, I hate the feel of the straps, the clips, everything about them.

I have done everything I can - been accurately measured (NOT M&S) , tried every bra you can imagine and I can't handle it.

I also hate socks and tights and don't wear them either, so feel like it's a sensory processing issue.

I live in crop tops, those seamless ones. But they severely limit what tops I wear as they don't give enough support.

I am wondering if there is any other bras that people can reccomend? Ones without back clips, that are pull on if possible, but offer support.

My boobs are a 36 C

See my underboob measurement is 34.5....which puts me just in Molke Large. I worried that it might not be supportive enough, but it feels great and I have a feeling the medium would have dug in underboob, especially by the end of the day.

PhilomenaChristmasPie · 28/12/2019 19:47

After my DGM stopped buying my bras I stopped wearing them, and only started again after DC3. I find the feel of them distracting.

Floomph · 28/12/2019 23:23

I'm exactly the same as you op. I've recently bought these having seen them on Facebook. I had no idea what to expect but they are brilliant. I couldn't find a UK link but lots of companies sell them.

They are so supportive and give a good shape and no worries about straps or things digging in. I just fear being caught in a road accident and having doctors standing over me half naked in A&E going 'what the hell is she wearing?' Grin

I'm surprised to see all the support for Molke on here btw. They are very clear on social media they consider a woman to be anyone who feels like one and that doesn't generally go down very well on here (for good reason!)

TurduckenFucken · 29/12/2019 07:33

Holy fuck, those are amazing, Floomph! It’s like you have two skinned Miffys stuck to your baps. Grin

Pukeworthy · 29/12/2019 07:44

Yanbu, bras are hell. I'm 34DD and would love a reduction/be able to go braless.

I am however REALLY happy with the front fastening non-underwired bras i've been getting from simplybe for £8 recently. They are farrr more supportive than i inagined (better than the sports bras i resorted to), the wide straps and broad fabric back panel reduce fatbackery and shoulder dragging/pinching by maybe 70% and you dont get sweaty oneboob sportsbra either - looks good and classy under clothing. Simplybe actually have colours beyond black white and nude, too - navy, pink.

I have sensory issues and no way I can wear the size I measure. I have to go larger in the back. Tried a molke but they are quite hard to put on. Visible under most clothes. My best bra to date is panache porcelain. Smooth straps, mouldings, fittings. Really nice bra.

ClownsandCowboys · 29/12/2019 09:55

@Floomph they are a small business so probably can't risk any other standpoint.

Yeah, it's really sad but they're probably scared of finding themselves in a legal battle that would bankrupt them if they display Wrongthink.

On the plus side though, your average middle aged AGP seems to think that being 'one of the girls' involves wearing underwear from Ann Summers and towering high heels so I'm having fun trying to imagine them getting their kicks in a dinosaur print bra...

fantasmasgoria1 · 29/12/2019 10:31

I'm a 36c and I'm a size 12. I just have a broad back. When I was a size 10 not long ago I was a 36 c. You certainly don't need to be a size 16 to be 36c!

I don't understand. How can your underbust measurement be bigger than the overall size of a size 10 item of clothing? A size 10 is generally described as measuring 35 inches at the bust. If your underbust measurement is 36 and your actual measurement is 39 inches, how do you fit in a size 10?

I haven’t seen any comments on such stuff, tbh-normally it’s just photos of bras and leggings!

Siameasy · 29/12/2019 11:12

I hate bras. In the pictures they look like they’re drawn on. When I put mine on, fat spills everywhere. I’m not overweight but it looks so unsightly.

Fairylea · 29/12/2019 11:12

I have a Molke bra and once it’s on it is very comfortable- however I have to pull it over my legs and hips to get it on as I can’t pull it over my head! (Back issues). It’s a bit of a pain in that regard. Still love them though.

aceyace · 29/12/2019 11:12

Sounds like me, I feel breathless in bras, this is the only type I can wear

ScreamedAtTheMichelangelo · 29/12/2019 12:09

An update, as I was so sceptical about Molke! Tried one and I love it. Very comfy and decent amount of lift for a non-wired bra. Just ordered a couple more - one spare black and one in the lower firmness for lounging about. Happy days!

Branleuse · 29/12/2019 12:13

Ive been following molke for ages and the only time ive ever seen a mention of anything to do with trans was a post on the fan page a member made and molke didnt get involved, so I dont think they are promoting or supporting either side of that debate and shouldnt have to

hazeyjane · 29/12/2019 12:26

I too haven't seen any 'folx who wear bra's' type terminology.
Today I can confirm that my new Molke washes and dries well and gives me a lovely smooth shape under my tightest tshirt. I'm about to spend some Christmas money given to me on a black one. So glad I've found them.

Fairylea · 29/12/2019 12:45

If you go on the Molke instagram page and go through their saved stories (along the top of the page, little circular buttons) one of the FAQ is about their views on trans etc and they do state they believe anyone who wants to be called a woman is a woman - unless I have somehow imagined that.

Personally I don’t care what their views are. I love their bras so won’t stop buying them but I know lots on here would have issues with their viewpoint.

fedup21 · 29/12/2019 13:08

Well, I have been a member of their FB page for years and haven’t noticed a thing. I wouldn’t say that one comment on an Instagram group was making their stance, very clear on social media.

It’s all about the funky fabrics and comfortable boobs as far as I can make out.

Branleuse · 29/12/2019 13:13

Idgaf what Kirsty and Ros Molke personally think about gender. I also dont check out Mr Sainsbury or Ms Tesco think of the issue are when I do my weekly shop either. Dont you think thats a bit irrelevent. I also have no idea as to their views on the middle east conflict or their views on nuclear power.

People have got different opinions

Stressybetty · 29/12/2019 13:46

Wow have been struggling with 32hh bras for years, always end up too loose in the band and sagging below the underwire. Just measured on the boob or bust calculator as a 30k

fantasmasgoria1 · 29/12/2019 16:47

To be fair I have never been measured, i just but what seems to fit. Perhaps I need a fitting!

Worried3456789 · 30/12/2019 19:45

Oh bloody hell I've ordered loads more of the suggestions from here (thanks to everyone of you!)

Desperately awaiting my Molke bra and also watching a couple on ebay
