I wish I was joking! I truly hate them. When I wear one, it's all I can think about and it honestly puts me in a massive strop!!!!

I hate how they give me back fat, I hate the feel of the straps, the clips, everything about them.

I have done everything I can - been accurately measured (NOT M&S) , tried every bra you can imagine and I can't handle it.

I also hate socks and tights and don't wear them either, so feel like it's a sensory processing issue.

I live in crop tops, those seamless ones. But they severely limit what tops I wear as they don't give enough support.

I am wondering if there is any other bras that people can reccomend? Ones without back clips, that are pull on if possible, but offer support.

My boobs are a 36 C

My ribs have expanded a fair bit due to pregnancy, and although I'm about a size 10/12 in tops, that chart has me at a size 18! So I have no idea what's happening there.

Omg @RuffleCrow could this be it for me?! Never heard of them but look!

About to measure to try a Molke bra too

The Molke ones sound amazing because I'm like the OP. I can't bear bras but no way on earth I can do without. My only question would be - to wearers of Molke - they look like they're pull on? I can't do that because of ongoing shoulder stiffness/pain/rotator cuff problems. Any suggestions for me? I need a BIG bra!

Nacreous · 26/12/2019 22:18

I don't like bras.

Per boob or bust I'm about a 32G or GG I can't bear wearing it. I can cope with a 36DD from M and S, but my new favourite is this

www.urbanoutfitters.com/en-gb/shop/out-from-under-imogen-square-neck-seamless-bralette?category=bras-bralettes&color=040&type=REGULAR

I am not someone who would ever normally shop at urban outfitters. I am a size 14 and not their target market. I was very skeptical but another friend recommended them and I LOVE it. It's supportive, doesn't rub, doesn't give back fat, doesn't make my nipples go funny. I wear a medium.

notanotherpothole · 26/12/2019 22:21

These. Never seen them in a shop so I get from eBay. A crop top with straps under to give support. So comfy.

bras a SHIT ... Xmas Grin

motortroll · 26/12/2019 22:27

Molke!!

1Morewineplease · 26/12/2019 22:35

Haven’t worn a bra for many years. I wear a crop top or vest top with built in support. I generally don’t wear tight revealing clothes so my general sagginess isn’t noticeable.
But I feel so liberated!

SuperFurryDoggy · 26/12/2019 22:35

I’m not quite following the bra size debate, but I do suspect that it works better for some people than others. My back is covered in a layer of really squishy fat and it just doesn’t seem to work for me. I have 2 fitted but not stretchy Karen Millen dresses in a size 12 (I wear everything from an 8 to a 14 elsewhere, but KM sizing seems pretty consistent), have been to a number of Bravissimo stores plus one independent bra shop and they always, always try to get me in a 32” back which is beyond uncomfortable and looks ridiculous due to the massive amounts of fat squished around it. Heads are usually scratched and I’m put in a 34”, which still leaves indentations and red marks. Hate them!

ClownsandCowboys · 26/12/2019 22:49

Boob or bust measuring doesn't work for me. Same as pp the back measurement leaves me with rolls of fat/skin on either side of the band. The the bust measurement says I should be F or G, which is bonkers. Both my boobs squished together wouldn't fit in one G cup.

I move down the cup and back size until it's essentially about as accurate as randomly guessing.

isabellerossignol · 26/12/2019 22:51

Both my boobs squished together wouldn't fit in one G cup.

That statement makes no sense as there isn't such a thing as a G cup, in that they are all different sizes. Some G cups aren't very big at all.

BareBelliedSneetch · 26/12/2019 22:56

Molke are TOTALLY amazing. I love them.

ClownsandCowboys · 26/12/2019 22:58

OK Molke/boob or bust puts me at a 34F. When I have tried those bras on in various shops it is way way too big.

My boobs are like empty sand bags, so leaning over measurement is bigger than the amount of fat that is really in them.

As an example when I was a size 16 (currently a 14) I couldn't wear most dresses as the space for boobs was just too big. I can't wear any wrap dresses without a t-shirt underneath.

Craftycorvid · 26/12/2019 23:06

Yep, Molke! (Found out about them on MN). Great support and I’m a FF cup. Wash and wear really well too. Only slight thing is they do show a bit under scoop neck tops. That’s it really. Otherwise beautifully comfortable and I have about eight sets now! Grin

SutterCane · 26/12/2019 23:06

...their FB page has lots of women who wear them for sensory reasons because they find conventional bras unbearable.

I am one of these! I've struggled with conventional bras of all types for years both pre- and post-breast reduction. A combination of being a very awkward size/shape, sensitive scarring from the surgery and also generally hating the feel of most bras either because of the not-quite-right fit or what they're made of. I got my first Molke about a year ago and I'm not kidding when I say it was life changing. No more discomfort, no more red marks, no more itchiness and my scars have settled more in the last year than they did over the previous eight. Fucking miraculous things!

They don't always work for everyone but definitely worth a shot if you're struggling with bras.

NegroniOnIce some women put them on by stepping into them and pulling up rather than pulling them on over their heads. I can't do it because of my fat arse but certainly works for some Grin If that's a no go then you might struggle for now but apparently there are some new designs in the works for next year which will help ini this regard.

Worried3456789 · 26/12/2019 23:08

I'm so sorry others struggle like I do . I once actually googled having a breast reduction to make me have hardly any boobs Blush

I have ordered loads this evening.

Thank you Sutter I’ll keep an eye out

milliefiori · 26/12/2019 23:16

Sports bras are a good compromise. If you have sensory issues, go for cotton ones with no zips and with wide shoulder straps not those criss-cross thong ones. Take out all the labels so they don't scratch you.. I have them in all colours so if they do show under a blouse, they just look like I'm wearing a vest top or camisole.

Branleuse · 26/12/2019 23:25

Molke have excellent returns setvice if tried on but not worn, and also keep their value very well for resale, so not much to lose by trying

TwinkleMerrick · 26/12/2019 23:28

34H here and I HATE wearing bras! I have to at work because it would just be obscene not too. But it comes off as soon as I'm through the door. At weekends I wear a crop top style bra with a vest that has built in support. I'm interested to hear other options for larger boobed ladies.

Squidgoals · 26/12/2019 23:29

I hate bras so much I had a breast reduction. Went from 32G to 32DD, I now live in a Cosabella Sweetie Curvey bralette and am very happy

Heismyopendoor · 26/12/2019 23:32

What kind of look does the Molke brand give? I’ve tried bralette soft crop top things and might as well be wearing nothing! Giant saggy uniboob :( is Molke different?

ColdTattyWaitingForSummer · 26/12/2019 23:34

Another vote for primark! (And I’m not normally a fan of their stuff.) I bought their crop top style bras with no wires, but removable padding and adjustable straps.

SwingingBy · 26/12/2019 23:38

I've just looked at Molke as I've never heard of them before as I'm another one with an oversized chest.
£32!!! 😮
I'll stick to George at Asda!

LizzyDarcy1 · 26/12/2019 23:39

Molke is great support for larger busts, and so comfortable. I didn't believe a crop top style bra could actually support my J cup bust but gave it a try and it does, really well. Now I have 4 Molke bras and I wear them about half the time. Definitely worth a try!
