I think I saw a ghost

A few months back, DH and I stayed in a hotel room (One with “history”) abroad. I woke up in the middle of the night needing a drink. I walked through the living room area and saw a man crying in the sofa. I asked him what was wrong. He said nobody understands. I told him I do and then I woke up. I never told DH but the whole thing freaked me out. It wasn’t like a normal dream. I woke up feeling like I knew this guy. I felt sad, like literallly heartbroken at the thought of him crying.

I’ve never really gotten over it. The man was a public figure. My head tells me it was a dream of course but I just can’t process it for some reason and it’s depressing me

MN is so closed-minded about stuff. Ghosts are real- I’ve seen two. Most of my family and friends have also seen one.

If you are still troubled visit your local spiritualist church or ask around for a genuine psychic medium to find the cause of this incident op.it could put your mind at rest.Flowers

UndertheCedartree · 26/12/2019 21:19

Sounds like a lucid dream.

Sarcelle · 26/12/2019 21:23

Micheal Hutchence?

Fishcakey · 26/12/2019 21:27

Bound to be Jim. He would appear just to mess with your head lol. I have seen loads of ghostly things, don't worry about it. He'll pass through eventually, he isn't your problem whoever he was.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 26/12/2019 21:28

My thoughts were Michael Hutchence too. I do think we can pick up on atmospheres and emotional debris left by past events. To me it sounds like you might have been tuning into the emotional state this person was in before they died, but you don't know the person and it won't do you any good to take on their unfinished business.

Shanny81 · 26/12/2019 21:31

The person did not die in this room. I knew nothing about him other than a few songs and the fact that he’d committed suicide (but not in this room!). This is why it’s all so odd. I’m not a fan, yet after this I feel like I know the guy personally and feel so sad about it. Even though he’s been dead years

I lived with a ghost so i so beleive you op.

Doyouavocado · 26/12/2019 21:35

Why can’t you say who it is?

Missymare · 26/12/2019 21:36

Do you know if the person who died has ever stayed where you were staying?

Shanny81 · 26/12/2019 21:38

I just don’t want to say as it will derail the thread and possibly get the shitty press jumping in.

He did stay in the room on a regular basis but didn’t die in it

Errm...there's being closed-minded and then there's being so open-minded your brains are falling out.

You've seen two ghosts and most of your family and friends have also seen one? Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

Wineislifex · 26/12/2019 21:41

I’ve seen a ghost before, so I believe you, but please tell us who it is! Have they already been mentioned or this thread?

MindYours · 26/12/2019 21:41

I really want to know who it is 😊

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 26/12/2019 21:42

"There's no such thing as ghosts"

Says o r rather prove s, who.

Warpdrive · 26/12/2019 21:42

my friend has a theory that sometimes our 'energy' (for want of a better word) gets absorbed by our environment, in a similar way to how we leave footprints when we walk. Then when conditions are right, that 'energy' can be seen/felt by other people.
Perhaps it was something like that.

AutumnRose1 · 26/12/2019 21:42

I don’t need to know who it is

If it’s bugging you, try to ponder it for a while but then I’d move on

Sometimes you just really feel a connection. It might be imagined. Who knows. I’d say it’s good you posted, it’s been acknowledged and now you can move on.

enjoyingscience · 26/12/2019 21:44

Jet lag gives me the weirdest vivid dreams. Sets off my brothers sleep walking too. Could that have been a factor?

FredaFrogspawn · 26/12/2019 21:46

The ongoing sadness - you could explore that a bit. It sounds like the dream was possibly partly about your own feelings on an issue. Can you talk to someone about that bit?

Patsypie · 26/12/2019 21:46

It wasn't a ghost. I wish you would just say who it is ffs!

Primrosepenny · 26/12/2019 21:58

You've seen two ghosts and most of your family and friends have also seen one?
Yep. That’s what I said. I meant it too. Smile

FizzyIce · 26/12/2019 22:44

Uh huh .. sounds like a vivid dream

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 26/12/2019 22:55

Agree with Worra it’s the same when people claim they are reincarnated, it’s always someone like Anne Boleyn or Al Capone, never a beggar or street sweeper.

Doyouavocado · 26/12/2019 22:57

Would it derail the thread because he’s a baddie?

Does he have a moustache?

AutumnRose1 · 26/12/2019 23:00

Betty oh I’ve definitely met people who think they had a previous life as a regular person.
