Absolutely right, Perking. The trial starts on Tuesday at 10 am EST, but it sounds as if that will be more 'procedural stuff' rather than the actual trial itself. We'll be watching it regardless. Rumour has it that McConnell et al want to accelerate the proceedings so they may zip right through the procedural stuff, since procedures are a foregone conclusion, and get right to the nitty gritty.

And as usual with Scrotus, since he can't defend himself using actual FACTS, he will attack the process. Same old song in a new key. And probably what his defense will present as their side of the case. So in the end the Senate will be voting, not so much on the facts, but on whether or not the trial was 'legal' in the first place.
