Lip Fillers

What the fuck are these young women doing to their lips?

Saw a girl in Lidl today who clearly had naturally thin lips. Had a huge fillet in her top lip. All it looks like is someone with a huge filler, not someone with lovely generous lips, see it all the time and it looks horrific.

What happens when they hit 40?

How much does it cost?

Why are we all injecting shit into our faces?

But @cavabiensepasser it's normal for tweens/teens to have insecurities & want to look differently. If they are upset & want to change at 16/17 will you be ok with it?

cavabiensepasser · 23/12/2019 13:19

16 and 17 year olds are children. Injectables are not for children. They're gonna have to wait till they're 18.

Strongmummy · 23/12/2019 13:20

@cokehoke she’ll have Botox and fillers, guaranteed. They’ll just be subtle.

Most people think any overdone work looks daft ; altho some like the look.

cokehoke · 23/12/2019 13:24

I really don't think she looks like she has had anything done. She's definitely aged & lost volume in her cheeks & lips. Regardless she still very much looks like herself & is beautiful.

She has opted for very subtle work. She looks as beautiful as ever :)

Since when has aged limits stopped anyone? So you will just let them change at 18. Fair enough, your kids.

Strongmummy · 23/12/2019 13:27

@cokehoke she is stunning. A good surgeon/doctor should be able to “freshen” the face and ensure it’s so subtle the work isn’t noticeable. They’ll ensure you’re not completely line free coz that doesn’t look natural.

cavabiensepasser · 23/12/2019 13:28

When they're 18 they'll be adults and will be allowed, by law, to do whatever the fuck they wish.

I'd be less cross if they got injectables at 16 than say, a tattoo. Unlike tattoos, fillers aren't permanent.

cokehoke · 23/12/2019 13:29

@gypsywater your clearly the expert then. So you don't see any difference between Christys subtle work in her late 40s & Kylie Jenner style transformations?

Strongmummy · 23/12/2019 13:30

@cokehoke I thought you were against all “work”? Is it just obvious work? What’s the difference morally/ethically?

gypsywater · 23/12/2019 13:35

Have we now moved on to criticising obvious work only? I cant keep up!

cokehoke · 23/12/2019 13:39

I just asked if others think there is a difference?

I'm not against all work, I hate the idea of implants but would consider them if I had a mastectomy.

I have already said I think there is a difference between slowing down the ageing process & changing all your features. I can understand why someone would want botox more than a butt job for example but I also think in many cases fillers & botox don't make you look younger. That's before you get onto the level of risk, upkeep etc.
I also think it's a pointless pursuit as someone like CT in her 50s with or without her subtle work is far more beautiful than KJ.

cavabiensepasser · 23/12/2019 13:39

yeah but no but yeah but no but yeah... please, gypsy, they don't even know what they think. Grin

gypsywater · 23/12/2019 13:41

@cavabiensepasser I've never known debate quite like it!

cokehoke · 23/12/2019 13:41

No one answered if I'm wrong to think this looks scary & pity the man?

gypsywater · 23/12/2019 13:42

I'm not going to be drawn into criticising someone's appearance, sorry to disappoint you on that

cokehoke · 23/12/2019 13:45

Why would I be disappointed, it's a genuine question. You obviously think it's wrong for me to think that, I disagree.

cokehoke · 23/12/2019 13:46

I've never known debate quite like it!

True dat! Got xmas chores to do now.

Ffsseriously · 23/12/2019 13:52

This is gloriously batshit. Xmas Grin

Strongmummy · 23/12/2019 13:57

@cokehoke yes he looks like a tool 🤣🤣. I don’t like obvious work. I once had Botox that looked awful. Thank god it wears off

Spaceprincess · 23/12/2019 14:03

@gypsywater I'm happy with how I look at 48, at 21 I was not. Its good to be at peace with oneself :)

gypsywater · 23/12/2019 14:04

@Spaceprincess good to hear that :)

Ffsseriously · 23/12/2019 14:39

I also think on this thread and on the lip filler one in s&b which has many of the same contributors, there is a real snobbery, with talk of checkout girls and cheeeelsy from school and other definite working class types get obvious lip fillers.

caranxy · 23/12/2019 14:45

I've had them , I love them

You don't need to judge

Waxonwaxoff0 · 23/12/2019 15:00

@cokehoke of course he looks ridiculous but surely you're aware that he's an extreme example and most people don't go to those lengths with surgery.
