This is the second since we lost dad and I still wish Christmas would go away.

I lost my dad in mid Dec 2020 and my Mum on the beginning of Jan 2021. Just 3 weeks between them. We had 2 seperate funerals one week after the other, which was awful. Christmas was irrelevant that year. I wanted Christmas to be a positive time after that and each year, just before, we visit all the sites of our dear departed lay flowers, wish our Merry Christmases and take some time that evening in front of the tree to remember and talk fondly (and sometimes a bit frustratedly) of them all. I then feel abe to get on with the serious subject of having a good yuletide. X
