I am so depresed,
me and my husband are strugling this year as my maternity has finished and hes got his pay from work today which menas that the next one will be on the 30th of January ..
I am sooo stressed out, my hair has fallen down from the amount of stress. My nails are cracked and I have been getting spots lately.
I AM LITERALLY LEFT with £200 for 6 weeks incl food, nappies etc
my little girl turns 1 next 2 weeks and I have only bought her one cheap present incl christmas too, we are not going to have a party for her either as I cant afford it !!
we are not getting any benefits and everything is soo expensive.
rent, council , electricity, I cant do this anymore :(((
I am cant borrow any money from friends or family because I am so ashamed and I feel lile a failure.
I even considered setting up an anonim fund me page to get £100 or £200 and put my mind at ease as I cant live like that.
I am stressing out too much and my body cant take anymore.

Could you find out if there is an open Xmas lunch near you - perhaps at a church or community hall. Arrange to go along and meet some local people.

OP, I'm sorry for your stressful position (I'm not talking about Xmas and presents - wrap up anything) but you do need to secure your food/nappies.

What I would do (and I hope it can be any help to you) is not pay my Council tax or the direct debit for my utility bills in January. Some posters might say this is terrible advice and I don't say it lightly but while bills are important food is more so.

We have no Council tax in Feb/March as pay over 10 months so I would pay with Feb wages and free up that £140 in Jan. By not paying my utility direct debit I would free up £120. The bill can be higher or lower anyway and again I would try to make it up over the next couple of months. That's just honestly what I would do if i had to to feed my family and I hope it is helpful.

Op, I don't know how much you have earned since April, but if it is less than £12500, then you may very likely be eligible to transfer your personal tax allowance to your dh, which will effectively get you both back some money in tax.

We have £4.52 left in the bank. I was so pleased I'd managed to get everything we needed until I realised last night I have forgotten a niece's present Sad This has been how we live for many years now. We both work crazy hours and are utterly exhausted from living this way.
Yet I still have hope that things will get better! I feel your pain and I have hope things will get better for you too.
