Omg, I don’t know what to do. My boyfriend has gone out on a work do. I kept hearing a pinging coming from his office so I went in to mute whatever device it was and it was his iPad. Went to mute it and saw the message ‘can’t wait babe’ on the home screen. Obviously I opened it and have now found hundreds of messages between him and another girl. No idea who she is. Haven’t even looked into that yet. Just read the messages. He says he loves her. I have an 8 month old baby I feel sick please what shall I do from here? He’s just text me saying he misses me and I can see on the iPad he’s text her saying he misses her

Oh my God, OP.

Did you have another baby in the end? Your last update in January you said you were pregnant?

Ilovesandwiches · 23/12/2020 00:39

What a slime ball!!!!! I’m so so sorry OP. I hope you will be okay xxxx

Ilovesandwiches · 23/12/2020 00:40

Oops just realised this is an old thread!

bpirockin · 23/12/2020 01:48

Wow! So many admirable qualities displayed in the way you conducted yourself throughout what must have been a very tough time.

I'm glad that you are doing well, and certainly surprised at your living situation, but if it's working well for you, then that's what matters.

I wish you a joyful 2021.

London1987 · 23/12/2020 02:01

This is what I would do.

Print screen the messages. Send them to yourself. In case you need them for legal cases re child care/ financial support, you have evidence in a court case (I know... depressing...sorry).
Get her number from the iPad.
Don't mention anything to him.
Move all your joint money into your personal account.

Then pack his bags when he is out.
Get the locks changed.
Confront him and tell him to jog on.
Talk to her after and make sure she knows what a p*k he is (or, if she knows... tell her to jog on too and that they are welcome to each other).

BlueThistles · 23/12/2020 02:49

This all happened over 1 year ago folks....OP was just updating

NovemberR · 23/12/2020 03:09

You behaved with grace and dignity throughout and I admired your strength.

This has been a dreadful year for all and I'm so pleased you've come through. Hopefully next year will be a much better one! Thanks for updating.

blubberball · 23/12/2020 03:10

I remember this one. Hope things are better for you now op.

SheilaWilcox · 23/12/2020 03:42

WOW - What an update!

Mamanyt · 23/12/2020 03:57

Photos. Yes, by all means. What to do? That's something you will have to decide, but I can tell you that when your trust is broken in that way, you almost never rebuild it. This wasn't a fling, this is a full-blown affair, with the L word thrown around. Me? I'd have him gone before he knew what was happening. I've found over time that the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. He will very likely fall all over himself saying that he's sorry...and he will be. He'll be sorry that he got caught.

Mallysmomma · 23/12/2020 07:16

@VenusTiger oops thanks for the heads up x

Beebeezed · 23/12/2020 07:31

Sorry to those of you that thought this was a new thread. I just thought those that sent me such amazing and supportive messages at the time may want to know how it’s all going.

I now have two children, a boy and a girl. Living with my ex was a little odd and I totally see why some people think I must be crazy but I had two very young children and wasn’t able to see my parents due to my dad being high risk and my house move fell through so I was a bit stuck. I’ve always said my ex, albeit not a good partner, has always been a good dad. My option was to either rent and look after both of them singlehandedly for god knew how long or to move in with my ex (gulp) and get childcare support. It didn’t last very long as I was able to find a different option that worked better and was less awkward but it wasn’t as bad as I’d originally thought and it really was good for my ex to spend quality time with his children. No matter what he did to me, I never wanted it to affect my children so I had to swallow my pride a bit and put their needs first. I also did appreciate the extra pair of hands!

Anyway, thank you all so much again. You really did hold my hand through the worst time of my life.
