To think all conservative voters aren't thinking of others?

I realise this doesn't convert anyone and at this point I'm not trying to. But I just don't think anyone who really cares for the welfare of others votes conservative. We know.chikd poverty is highest for 60 years, people are actually dying due to underfunding services (I can link to the research on this if needed). So conservative voters have prioritised brexit and their dislike for Jeremy Corbyn over actually helping others. Whatever way you look at it it wasn't the kind option. Realise I will get flamed for this but it's just how i feel. It's the cruel party and I'm ashamed to be British right now with how everyone voted. Also they had such a dodgy deceitful campaign and as it was rewarded I guess that's the future of politics now :/
I'm not sad labour didn't win, they were never going to. I'm sad at how much conservatives won by as the selfish option that's basically saying it's fine for everything to continue being awful for those struggling.

Good Heavens @cheesemumma. Is cancer treatment going to stop? Are wheelchairs going to be banned?

Don't give in to hyperbole. It just makes you look full of angst and hysterical.

ChestnutSmoothie · 14/12/2019 19:35

You’re hitting all the right marks, eh? Childish insults followed by emotional manipulation.

How predictable & boring.

@cheesemumma.

Don't be a bellend.

You wanted a Labour government because you wanted it to benefit you and your family.

It probably wouldn't have helped anyone but you thought it would. You voted for something that would benefit you.

Nothing wrong with that but don't try and pretend you're a plaster saint. Going by your posts, you seem an angry, jealous, foul mouthed individual.

If that makes me a selfish cunt then yep - I'm happy to own that

SillyUnMurphy you said it love

Livelovebehappy · 14/12/2019 19:47

Your statement about ALL conservatives not thinking of others is the same as me saying ALL labour voters are anti Semitic. It’s a ridiculous and not very bright thing to say but, as the saying goes, you can’t argue with stupid, so I’m not even going to try to explain why it’s a ridiculous statement.

I'm sorry you are so angry because a stranger on the internet didn't put aside her own family for you, cheesemama

HeronLanyon · 14/12/2019 19:52

Sorry for your mum cheese. I have gone through shock, anger (lots of swearing) and just coming into an ‘energised stage. Rejoined Labour Party (had lapsed as was so fed up with brexit non position) etc. Having gone through two bereavements over last 18 months and going through more normal stages of grief, I’m finding these stages coming so fast !!!

I didn’t vote Tory and never would but for accuracy those with cancer currently receive free prescriptions.

FriedasCarLoad · 14/12/2019 19:56

I was talking to a dear, older friend today. At 75, instead of enjoying a lazy retirement, she and her husband do virtually full-time voluntary work. Much of it is running the local food bank. A fair bit involves quietly caring for people who are elderly and /or disabled.

She voted conservative on Thursday. She felt that Corbyn would collapse the economy and put the vulnerable people she works with at even more risk.

How dare you look down on her as being morally inferior. Angry

ChestnutSmoothie · 14/12/2019 19:57

I genuinely don’t know how you dare assume that you have superior “morals”, Cheesemumma.

There you sit, throwing out meaningless insults, bizarrely proud of yourself for your ranting abuse, delighting in your own ignorance & without enough sense to appreciate just how incredibly stupid it is to cast aspersions on the characters of millions of people you’ve never met.

Grow up.

Looked at the votes and realised millions of people voted labour so not everyone is morally void in the UK......says the woman who has just called someone a “cunt”.

HeronLanyon · 14/12/2019 20:05

Poor Scotland. I too, and I suspect many, had a moment of thinking of upping stocks there !! Then pulled myself together. I lived through the Thatcher years as a young adult. I actually think boris and several likely cabinet ministers are worse (never thought I’d say that) but there are also Tory mps who I have respect for. There are also so many I doubt boris will want or be able to silence a broadish spectrum ???
