To think it’s utterly disgraceful that Corbyn hasn’t resigned

The man is the reason the Labour Party didn’t stand a chance in the GE

Yet today he doesn’t even have the good grace or integrity to step aside

Is their anyone at all who supports him in that decision?

No one has said he is the most fabulous leader ever or a wonderful man.

He does however have the huge advantage of not being Jeremy Corbyn or John McDonnell or a Marxist.

TheBlueStocking · 16/12/2019 18:25

Oh well. Best to vote for the party who lets people die, so long as it's not Jeremy Corbyn. Sure, that makes a lot of sense.

reallychristmasaaagain · 16/12/2019 18:39

You just sound really naive - johnson didn’t give an interview because it was in his interests not to, he didn’t need to persuade people of his brexit strategy as the brexiteers already believed in him. The credibility gap was on Corbyn’s side.

We need politicians that can win the existing game to have a hope of changing it.

TheBlueStocking · 16/12/2019 18:51

Ah yes. It was in his interests to hide in a fridge.

And naturally, I'm the one who is being naive. Most amusing.

Justanotherlurker · 16/12/2019 19:01

Ah yes. It was in his interests to hide in a fridge.

Why does it matter any more?

He refused an interview with Piers Morgan and was then doorstepped, it's irrelevnt now, just the same as when Corbyn backed out of an interview

And naturally, I'm the one who is being naive. Most amusing.

You are a little yes

TheBlueStocking · 16/12/2019 19:18

Gosh, why ever would it matter that the prime minister of the United Kingdom would hide in a fridge to avoid being questioned about his future policies. I just can't think...

gemmiebear · 16/12/2019 19:30

Another five years of tories....woo hoo so many promises about what they are going to do but have we got any evidence of what good they have done for the past nine? I honestly can't understand why people have voted for more of the same.

Why are the tories on here so concerned about what Corbyn is or isn't now doing? How about we concentrate on your brilliant PM and what he's supposedly doing for us next.

Justanotherlurker · 16/12/2019 19:34

Gosh, why ever would it matter that the prime minister of the United Kingdom would hide in a fridge to avoid being questioned about his future policies. I just can't think...

His policies where known as it was in the run up to a GE, he didn't want to be interviewed by Piers Morgan.

But this is after the fact now anyway, just the same as Corbyn back peddling out of an interview is also irrelevant.

You can keep on calling the ex labour heartlands thick, racist, easily led or whatever. It is shown to be a proven strategy so far.

You could blame any other outside source like the media, or as some of labour members have been doing Jews as well, another vote winning strategy.

Maybe if you stopped getting your views from the likes of Canary and Skwarkbox you might have some understanding of why you lost, it wasn't because you are morally superior or some rehashed momentum soundbite of you being more intelligent. The working class have fired multiple shots across labours bow since 2010, and even more since 2015, the centrists have been told to 'fuck off to the tories', at some point you have to put on your big girl pants and admit it could be you who is wrong and really doesn't have their finger on the pulse as much as you liked to pretend you did.

The more recent memo on momentum whatsapp groups was worried about the rise of the 'yellow tories' so push we are not voting for a leader but the party, people not only rejected Corbyn, but the shady Milne, McDonnell and Abbot, that's before we look at the rest of the disastrous front bench

It really doesn't matter that Boris hid in a fridge, what should matter is the worst election result in decades against someone as divisive as Boris, maybe realise just how utterly shit Corbyn is and realise that momentums online strategy has been a massive contribution in turning people away.

Justanotherlurker · 16/12/2019 19:38

Another five years of tories....woo hoo so many promises about what they are going to do but have we got any evidence of what good they have done for the past nine?

Reduced the deficit spend that both Brown and Milliband said was needed.

The fact you even have to ask shows it's not really a question but just a rant, either way it's irrelevant, the 'thick' who have, for generations voted for a red rossette on donkey abandoned labour.

This is all on you/labour to win them back

derxa · 16/12/2019 19:45

And please, come on, don't kid yourself that during Nazi Germany people weren't experiencing the same vulnerable naivety of trust you are. It's only with the benefit of hindsight that people realised the true horrors. What's wrong with you? Confused

Justanotherlurker · 16/12/2019 19:47

What's wrong with you? confused

She's right, she was talking about the rise in antisemitism.

TheBlueStocking · 16/12/2019 19:48

What should matter is that people have died unnecessarily under the Tories. That should fucking matter.

TheBlueStocking · 16/12/2019 19:49

It's cool that you're more worried about cash though. You sleep well tonight, yeah?

PhilbricksCat · 16/12/2019 19:51

TheBlueStocking
The thread is about why the man who has:- (a) effectively destroyed the Labour Party in less than 4 years;
(b) led to its worst result since 1935;
(c) has overseen the loss of constituencies which had been Labour since their very inception;
(d) has tolerated anti- semitic bullying;

and all in the face of the most disorganised and chaotic government
should accept some responsibility and resign.

The Conservatives Party won. If you want to debate how horrible BJ is start your own thread. This thread is about how useless, vain and stupid Corbyn is.

CendrillonSings · 16/12/2019 19:53

Ah yes. It was in his interests to hide in a fridge.

And Labour was so shit it lost to him in a landslide! What does that say about them?

gemmiebear · 16/12/2019 19:53

I was asking a genuine question actually, no rant whatsoever.

Yes all us Labour voters are 'thick' for wanting some change for the better. Wow.

Justanotherlurker · 16/12/2019 19:56

What should matter is that people have died unnecessarily under the Tories. That should fucking matter.

Do you think that if Corbyn got in people wouldn't die unnecessarily??

You are still going to push this momentum narrative after the worst result for labour and Corbyn for decades ??

It's cool that you're more worried about cash though. You sleep well tonight, yeah?

This is a childish lashing out now, if you cannot give any reasoned argument instead of soundbites then maybe it really you who needs to expand your knowledge and improve your education levels.

You being an obvious momentum bot needs to retreat or come up with some reasoned arguments of your own.

TheBlueStocking · 16/12/2019 19:59

Yes, sure. I'm a bot. It couldn't possibly be that ten million people, me included, thought the Tories were nasty bastards.

CendrillonSings · 16/12/2019 20:01

Yes, sure. I'm a bot. It couldn't possibly be that ten million people, me included, thought the Tories were nasty bastards.

Why are you boasting about losing an election by 4 million votes?

TheBlueStocking · 16/12/2019 20:02

Yes, I think ending the period of UK history that the UN described as a disgrace would have resulted in fewer unnecessary deaths. Or do you suppose the UN reports were written by people who needed to be better educated?

TheBlueStocking · 16/12/2019 20:03

Why are you boasting about voting for a party that implemented policies that were described as a disgrace by the UN?

CendrillonSings · 16/12/2019 20:04

The UN reports are often written by far left ideologues who can’t get jobs in their own country...

TheBlueStocking · 16/12/2019 20:05

Haha oh of course the UN don't know what they're talking about either. Just you with your omniscient knowledge.

gemmiebear · 16/12/2019 20:07

@TheBlueStocking you better start your own thread because you can't have a different opinion from anyone else.

It's really fucking rich of someone to say expand your knowledge.

You have no idea what someone else has lived through, the hardships people may have gone through under this government.

It's quite an upsetting time for some people and not in an 'oh we lost' way, but in a 'oh were fucked now' way, so please try and have some compassion.

Justanotherlurker · 16/12/2019 20:07

Yes all us Labour voters are 'thick' for wanting some change for the better. Wow.

Nice intentional misinterpretation of my post.

So i will ask you directly, how do you view the labour heartlands that suddenly turned blue, are they suddenly 'thick' by falling for propaganda, MSM inset multitude of slanders that has been used for the past 3 years.

Did they turn 'thick'/'easily led' on friday or have they always been and you just relied on their support.

Maybe they are not 'thick' but turkeys voting for Christmas which obviously doesn't have the same connotations.

The lesson to take from Thursday and the historic loss that labour received is because of outside sources and nothing to do with policies/its leadership or its cult like advocates.

As for thick, then there is a saying around if the cap fits, the fact we are 3 days after the result and people are still trying to use the same failed tactics without an ounce of self reflection, then yeah, the cap definitely fits.
