To think it’s utterly disgraceful that Corbyn hasn’t resigned

The man is the reason the Labour Party didn’t stand a chance in the GE

Yet today he doesn’t even have the good grace or integrity to step aside

Is their anyone at all who supports him in that decision?

The more stuff like this from Labour supporters I’ve read in the last few days, the more relieved I’ve become that they didn’t win
The righteous dogma is just scary. You really don’t see what you’re parallel to, do you?

I am pretty certain Bluestocking can't see the parallel but it's glaringly obvious to those of us not blinded by hard left Corbynism.

TheBlueStocking · 15/12/2019 17:33

People like Bluestocking Owen Jones and Ash Sarkar telling me I'm an ignorant, selfish racist or similar won't get me back.

You should probably stop making stupid decisions then.

PhilbricksCat · 15/12/2019 18:04

I think *Bluestocking must be a Tory plant. It's the only way her utterances make any sense.

noblegiraffe · 15/12/2019 18:40

I’d have thought that Tory plants would be too hungover to be posting on Mumsnet.

Plus their contracts must be up.

Hopoindown31 · 15/12/2019 18:45

He needs to go and an interim leader put in place during the leadership election process. I think he is hanging around to try and exert as much influence on who will be next in line as possible and he risks tarring his successor as a result.

PhilbricksCat · 15/12/2019 19:01

Ed Miliband resigned immediately and Harriet Harman was interim leader. Harman could easily do it again or Yvette Cooper.

I think he is hanging around to try and exert as much influence on who will be next in line as possible

I agree.

CharlottesPleb · 15/12/2019 19:27

Communist cult figures are in it for the power and will cling to it for as long as they think they can.

He is probably imagining a resurgence of support in the new year. I dread to think of it considering how cross his support base already seems to be.

ImGoingToBangYourHeadsTogether · 15/12/2019 19:36

That's it, carry on blaming everyone except yourselves for your own choices.

Don't suppose any of you have stopped to ask why the same vitriol isn't being directed at Jo Swinson, the Lib Dems, the Greens, or the Monster Raving Loony Party.

Britain and the British make me puke more and more each day.

PhilbricksCat · 15/12/2019 19:57

Don't suppose any of you have stopped to ask why the same vitriol isn't being directed at Jo Swinson, the Lib Dems, the Greens, or the Monster Raving Loony Party

Um, because none of them are the official opposition party and none of them had the slightest possibility of becoming the party of government?

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 15/12/2019 19:59

Does the Monster Raving Loony Party still put forward candidates ?

Oh I can’t imagine why we are no as angry toward them as we are towards Labour

Will need to think that over

noblegiraffe · 15/12/2019 20:02

Labour lost 59 seats, Monster Raving Loony Party didn’t lose any. Well done Monster Raving Loony Party.

CendrillonSings · 15/12/2019 20:04

Don't suppose any of you have stopped to ask why the same vitriol isn't being directed at Jo Swinson, the Lib Dems, the Greens, or the Monster Raving Loony Party.

To be fair, the Monster Raving Loony Party had a better platform and leader than Labour did! Smile

GCAcademic · 15/12/2019 20:08

The Monster Raving Loony Party have an excellent manifesto:

www.loonyparty.com/proposals/policies-a-z/

It's just a shame that the first past the post system robs them of their rightful place in Parliament.

PhilbricksCat · 15/12/2019 20:08

www.omrlp.com/

From the MRLP manifesto.

We will replace the traditional Christmas Tree for every home in the UK with a Magic Money Tree

To be fair to the MRLP several of their "loony" ideas are now mainstream.

TheBlueStocking · 15/12/2019 23:33

Exactly. The denial of there being any media bias is just bonkers.

PhilbricksCat · 16/12/2019 14:04

Goodness only knows what point you think you have scored there.

If the Labour party is going to be as demonstrably daft as it was it's hardly biased to point that out- hell the media didn't even have to comment- it spoke for itself.

TheBlueStocking · 16/12/2019 16:31

Why don't you make a list of all the ways the Tory party is demonstrably daft? You don't have to write them down. Just make a list in your head. Start with, say, maybe, lying to the Queen, or having a robot dancing PM.

They could have been made mince meat of in the press if it would have been financially beneficial to the oligarchs.

reallychristmasaaagain · 16/12/2019 17:01

The bleating about media bias isn’t going to change the facts though is it? Labour has managed to win despite media bias before...Campbell is still doing a better job of navigating the media than the current labour team.

TheBlueStocking · 16/12/2019 17:07

We're in a totally new age of technology. It's not bleating. It's something every single person in this country should be extremely worried about.

TheBlueStocking · 16/12/2019 17:08

You want to tell yourself the world is fair and right and only the good people win and the bad people lose. That's nice for you. But it's not likely to be the case.

Hitler got elected in. Think on.

MarshaBradyo · 16/12/2019 17:10

Love that Daily Mash up thread. Funny.

reallychristmasaaagain · 16/12/2019 17:29

A totally new age of technology that Alistair Campbell has managed to navigate. I’m not sure how much new technology was a factor really, most of my Twitter and Facebook was an echo chamber of the lefties berating each other to vote labour because that’s who I follow, I’m sure it’s the same for most people.

Johnson isn’t Hitler and equating the two just shows how far we are from winning the debate.

Very few on here think that. Johnston is simply less awful than Corbyn and Corbynism.

Comparing Johnston to Hitler just shows how deranged the hard left is.

TheBlueStocking · 16/12/2019 18:00

The fact that you've been manipulated into thinking that an adulterous man who hides in a fridge and pretends that sick children don't exist is better than Jeremy Corbyn proves my point precisely.

And please, come on, don't kid yourself that during Nazi Germany people weren't experiencing the same vulnerable naivety of trust you are. It's only with the benefit of hindsight that people realised the true horrors.

You're already ignoring thousands and thousands of deaths under the Conservative government.

TheBlueStocking · 16/12/2019 18:02

Why wouldn't the most fabulous leader, Boris Johnson give an interview on the television? Ask yourselves that. Since he's so transparently a wonderful man.
