Friend coming for Christmas who has recently turned omnivorous

Now, I am not one of those vegans who can't contemplate a meal with no veg, but I have a friend who's recently turned omnivorous and I have no clue what to give them for Christmas lunch.

I looked at the omnivore aisle at the supermarket but I have no experience of preparing omnivore food. WIBU to make a chicken risotto, as I'm not sure if omnivores eat potatoes and veg. Can they have mushroom en croute?

TO be honest I think it's just a fad.

Nope.

HollysBush · 13/12/2019 16:16

I’m sure she won’t mind being vegan for one day? Or she can bring a little dish of turkey for herself while you all enjoy your feast.

Trewser · 13/12/2019 16:17

Yawn.

Airwhy · 13/12/2019 16:17

Oh FFS are you the same troll knocking about all day namechanging? How sad of you.

LochJessMonster · 13/12/2019 16:17

You should be a good host and eat meat for the day. Its only polite.

Thinking of withdrawing invite as it's so much hassle.

Tell your friend they can come round to mine. It’ll be a hell of a lot more fun than having lunch with a troll.

Don't be silly. Just offer up your first born as the meat dish. Any omnivore would be thrilled.

Ijustwanttoretire · 13/12/2019 16:24

omnivore aisle at the supermarket
ha ha ha Confused

Fr0g · 13/12/2019 16:24

omnivorous - " animal or person feeding on a variety of food of both plant and animal origin."
so basically eats anything

Fairenuff · 13/12/2019 16:24

Not sure what an omnivore eats Grin

msmith501 · 13/12/2019 16:25

This can't be real? Omnivores eat anything .... the clue is in the name.

Thehop · 13/12/2019 16:26

They eat everything.

Try harder next time.

iklboodolphrednosedreindeer · 13/12/2019 16:27

Omni = all. Nobody is this naive.

Thankfully it’s not.

FelicityBeedle · 13/12/2019 16:33

I think it’s quite funny, refreshing change from those whining about having to actually accommodate their guests properly

Apolloanddaphne · 13/12/2019 16:37

Give them literally anything. That is the whole point of being an omnivore.

MistyCloud · 13/12/2019 16:44

@SproutsAreForLife

I don't get it.

SproutsAreForLife · 13/12/2019 16:44

@Airwhy who are you calling a troll Hmm

It's a joke, about the endless hand wringing of what shall I feed the vegetarian/ vegan. Gosh they can have gravy? Really?

Never mind, go back to being all earnest and serious.

Apart from you @FelicityBeedle I like you.

If you get started right away, there might be enough for a meal.
