They're normally pretty accurate but there is always a chance it could be more or less.

Lalalalalalalalaland · 12/12/2019 23:19

Another parent with a disabled child feeling sad and worried tonight.

Unless you are in the real thick of it you really don't see the damage the cuts have done.

helacells · 12/12/2019 23:20

Oh lord you guys are so fucked

fromdownwest · 12/12/2019 23:20

@bakabakabeyond - Of course I did not mean that. My point was that calling a whole swathe of people scum based on one of their political traits is the same way someone judges a whole race based on their country.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 12/12/2019 23:20

Can people not see, that we vote based on our own personal circumstances, and that does not necessarily make us evil.

This is exactly what makes you a true Tory voter. Only looking to see how it makes YOUR life better.

As for Xenia’s comments about the Conservative making for a “just society.” This would be laughable if it were not also so fucking tragic.

Ofthread · 12/12/2019 23:21

@Toomuchtrouble4me 'I'm sorry that you don't like your life but...' Spoken like a true Tory. Individualism, me first, right?

bakabakabeyond · 12/12/2019 23:21

@toomuchtroubleforme I reckon quite a few people won't like their lives in a few years time!

Spacebowlisback · 12/12/2019 23:21

Labour: This election was about Brexit. > Oh do shut up.

Boris: This election is about getting Brexit done. > Hurrah! Mass celebratory pig-fucking ensues.

This country is a black-hole of cock wombles.

bakabakabeyond · 12/12/2019 23:22

@fromdownwest judging someone based on their race is not even close to the same as judging someone based on their political views. You can't even compare the two!

Speckledhen10 · 12/12/2019 23:22

And as a frontline NHS professional who regularly (along with many colleagues) works 12 hour days mopping up the feckless demanding entitled feral who can’t be bothered working we wonder what education you give them ? Perhaps you tell them to just to breed incessantly, moan & complain constantly, and laugh at those poorly paid skivvies in the NHS who work long shits for shit wages. No wonder Boris will win.

NickelADimeCandy · 12/12/2019 23:22

I think McDonnell was right. This is purely a Brexit thing. It’s the only thing I’ve heard working class Tory voters say when they gave a reason for how they were going to vote

It is so not a Brexit thing. I voted Labour in every election since 1979 up to 2015. The Labour party has been taken over by Marxists.

It is not a Brexit thing; it's a Corbyn and McDonnell thing.

I'm sorry your life is awful, but it's nothing to do with me - Mumsnet 2019

Dongdingdong · 12/12/2019 23:26

Awful. I was hoping for a hung parliament

Why on earth would you be hoping for a hung parliament? For yet more years of complete political paralysis? Bizarre Confused

Ellmau · 12/12/2019 23:26

The 1992exir poll famously got it very wrong, but they’ve changed the methodology now and it’s much more reliable now.

thesunhasgothishatontoday · 12/12/2019 23:26

How can the results from 122 polling stations and circa 22k be extrapolated accurately?
I fucking hope they're wrong and all the people asked on exit have played a sick prank 🙏🙏

fromdownwest · 12/12/2019 23:27

@curlyhairedassassin - Not true at all. How about the 12 people I employ, and would have to reduce by 4 if JC had enforced his views.

Ironically, are you not thinking about you and your family whilst voting.

Breathlessness · 12/12/2019 23:27

The same people who rank the NHS as a high priority when polled don’t want to pay more tax to fund it. People are a mess of contradictions. You’re also working against preconceived ideas. Labour historically have had to work harder than the Conservatives to be perceived as trustworthy on the economy - fiscally responsible. They’re viewed as the high tax, high spend party. When you talk about increasing taxation on higher earners you get those who will never have a prayer of being close to that level of earnings opposing them. It’s not a UK specific phenomenon. Knowing all this, to go into an election with a Labour manifesto that promises to raise taxes, renationalise companies and hand out freebies is pretty much saying, “I’m quite comfortable on this side of the chamber, thanks.”

Thestinkycheeseman · 12/12/2019 23:27

The hypocrisy on this thread is laughable.
Lots of people calling people scum because they didn't vote labour and it would of made their individual life better!

Everyone votes for what is right for them in the end. If the exit poll is correct then labour voters have voted Tory at some places.

And if we are all supposed to vote for the greater good then we all should have voted Green

Paintedmaypole · 12/12/2019 23:28

Exit polls are usually fairly accurate. This is depressing because people will suffer for it in the long term.

bakabakabeyond · 12/12/2019 23:28

Exactly @ofthread. I'm still shocked someone said it's ironic that someone from an ethnic minority group judged someone's politics. How dare the black girl!

Dongdingdong · 12/12/2019 23:29

So much for the papers predicting that a high turnout meant younger people were getting out and voting as well. I don’t see the point of lowering the voting age to 16 when the vast majority of them don’t seem to be interested anyway.

Rubyroost · 12/12/2019 23:29

@Soeckledhen10 scarily you are not far off. Teachers are definitely supporting the self entitled attitude.

colouringinpro · 12/12/2019 23:31

Lalalaland yes. My ds is already being torally failed by CAMHS and NHS. I am in despair. 😪

Vinorosso74 · 12/12/2019 23:31

Just heard coming out a residence in JC's Islington North consistentuency "Fuck you Corbyn you useless bastard". There is nobody outside drunkenly wandering home so no idea who has declared that statement.
