We Tories support the NHS and always have done and always will.

Yeah. Tru fax Hmm

Cherrysoup · 12/12/2019 23:07

I feel sick. Devastated. Can’t believe people believe Boris the liar

What, cos Corbyn is totally truthful? 🤣

It will maybe make them see sense and ditch Corbyn.

If they lose, I seriously hope their first move is to elect a new leader.

Writersblock2 · 12/12/2019 23:08

Are people so narrow minded that they can’t possibly comprehend someone would vote differently to them with valid reasons?

notmuchtooffer · 12/12/2019 23:08

They want the stable and just society the Conservatives ensure.

It’s not just though is it, our society.

The general public were so cheesed off with the way politics has been for the last few years. Brexit has been an all round embarrassment, whether you voted to leave or remain. The MP’s did not deliver what their constituents voted for, because they didn’t like the result. Democracy has spoken. We couldn’t carry on in limbo, decisions have to be made and sometimes they don’t go your way. We can at least now move on, let’s hope that lessons have been learned, until next time.

Fucket · 12/12/2019 23:09

I would’ve voted labour but it really was a case of better the devil you know.

And basically just relying on the fear of the NHS being sold to the US is you’re only going for you is just plain lazy.

Yes the NHS and schools will be fucked for another 5 years, but maybe we might get a decent opposition now and we can move on from the Brexit nightmare.

ShagMeRiggins · 12/12/2019 23:09

As someone else said, I’m sure on the exit poll for the eu referendum it was remain. What a shock that was in the morning!

The Exit Poll for the referendum wasn’t performed by the same group that runs the GE Exit Poll commissioned by BBC+ITV+Sky (executed by Professor John Curtice of Strathclyde University) as there was no baseline and they couldn’t predict accurately with their methods.

Any Exit Polls reported for referendum would have been commissioned and executes by others (private industry, for example).

KidLorneRoll · 12/12/2019 23:10

'It means Brexit will get done now'

No it won't. It means it will drag on and on and on. The only way it was ever going to be done was for article 50 to be revoked.

Now we have years of trade negotions ahead of us to maybe put us somewhere back to where we are today.

cyclingmad · 12/12/2019 23:10

Labour party had a golden opportunity and they fucked it up. Don't blame people for voting Tory, blame the Labour party for not doing a good enough job to convince voters. If anything this was most probably the easiest election for them to win, yet they massively screwed it up.

Labour supporters should be more angry at their own party for not getting enough votes, for doing a piss poor job of convincing people, for not dealing with all the issues that cropped up around in a way that gave people confidence to vote for them.

Toomuchtrouble4me · 12/12/2019 23:10

Those of you that hope you are, don't you give a shit about vulnerable people? I have a disabled child and I'm seriously concerned about the future

We would ALL be vulnerable under Corbyn.

bakabakabeyond · 12/12/2019 23:11

The same way that you see Boris as a disaster, some people see Corbyn as the same. It does not make them Scum, or hateful people - as an ethnic minority, single mother, with a disability - definitely makes them scum. On the bottom of my shoe

nightnurse66 · 12/12/2019 23:12

Hope the exit polls are accurate. For those worried about the NHS being sold
Why don't we worry about educating people who abuse the service. It is not free. Every minor thing you run to the Gp for, every non urgent appointment you make, which can be managed by over the counter meds, every appointment you miss COSTS MONEY which could be better spent elsewhere.

sparkle2020 · 12/12/2019 23:13

This is so sad:(

THIS, WITH BELLS ON

Rosepetals30 · 12/12/2019 23:14

Lol nightnurse I think a wee bit of over the counter calpol is the least of our worries here...

sparkle2020 · 12/12/2019 23:14

@nightnurse66 and the people who genuinely need it? What about them?

fromdownwest · 12/12/2019 23:15

'The same way that you see Boris as a disaster, some people see Corbyn as the same. It does not make them Scum, or hateful people - as an ethnic minority, single mother, with a disability - definitely makes them scum. On the bottom of my shoe'

Ironic that someone who is an ethnic minority is willing to judge someone based on their political views. Very tolerant

ilovebluecheese · 12/12/2019 23:15

Yes yes yes

Heretodaygoneforgood · 12/12/2019 23:16

I have worked on them in the past, and they are accurate. It is a hard job. Some presiding officers will insist researchers stand outside. If there was a porch in a polling station we were allowed to stand there if the presiding officer was feeling kind.

I am glad I didn’t do it this time. An 8 hour stint in the wind and rain, would be worse than Boris staying as PM!

Toomuchtrouble4me · 12/12/2019 23:17

I'm sorry that you don't like your life but most of us do not trust Corbyn and we had a democratic election - and won, because he's A NUTTER - That does not make us scum.

Ofthread · 12/12/2019 23:17

Another 10 years of Brexit coming right up.

M3lon · 12/12/2019 23:17

hahahahaha

Mark Francois is just telling the world how well the tories will be looking after all their new blue collar voters.

laugh or cry...

Happyadventurer · 12/12/2019 23:17

Fuck I hope not! Lifelong Tory voter but no way could I support this circus. We are living in scary times. Have finished the gin and I still don’t feel brave enough to watch the results. May have to go to bed before they come in. Sweet dreams everyone 😢

bakabakabeyond · 12/12/2019 23:18

@fromdownwest wait, what? Because I'm an ethnic minority I'm not allowed to judge anyone? Wtf.

Sandaled · 12/12/2019 23:18

Only 10 years @Ofthread? That's very optimistic.
