Had JC not been at the Head of Labour i think we would have been looking at a different result.

Milicentbystander72 · 12/12/2019 22:58

I agree Quartz. Here's hoping.

Speckledhen10 · 12/12/2019 22:59

Yes they’re very accurate. It just shows that the feckless feral work-shy “any excuse not to work” labour supporters are in the minority. Thank goodness for a civilised society.

Milicentbystander72 · 12/12/2019 22:59

Labour should have won this with a huge majority.....with a strong, slightly left/centre leader. I blame Labour totally.

Pulpfiction1 · 12/12/2019 23:00

I can't belive I live in a country full of such selfish and/or stupid gullible people.

It feels like the nation has put two fingers up in the face of my disabled child and every other person effected by tory cuts. But as long as your house prices keep going up eh.

CountFosco · 12/12/2019 23:00

Fuck. Time to start looking for jobs in Europe.

Skyejuly · 12/12/2019 23:00

It does feel like people are ruled by lining their own pockets. For the few...not the many

user1487194234 · 12/12/2019 23:01

Please don't let it be as bad as it looks
Can't believe so many people can vote Tory
Don't they care

Illeana · 12/12/2019 23:01

If Labour had gone to the polls without JC at the helm I think it would've been a different (expected) result
This I’m afraid. Although the communist policies didn’t help. I’m not going to vote for someone who’s openly said he’ll force me to sell my house to my tenant at a loss.

Thestinkycheeseman · 12/12/2019 23:02

But the many had the most votes

Justaboy · 12/12/2019 23:03

If the poll is correct we will see dozens of Labour seats going to the Conservatives and you may even see places like Bolsover going to the Tories.

Wot! no more Denis skinner?, he was the most anmusing one there him and olde black rod;!..

CurlyhairedAssassin · 12/12/2019 23:03

Well, there goes the “Great” out of Great Britain.....

Runnerduck34 · 12/12/2019 23:03

Sadly I think they are generally fairly accurate. All a bit depressing,

LeithWalk · 12/12/2019 23:04

shows that the feckless feral work-shy “any excuse not to work” labour supporters are in the minority. Thank goodness for a civilised society.

Stunned, just stunned by that comment - all that is wrong with our country - as an education professional, public sector employee who works 12 hour days supporting schools with massive deficit budgets due to lack of central government funding ...and a labour voter.

Ofthread · 12/12/2019 23:04

@Carrotcakeforbreakfast Mate, no-one likes a gloating Tory. So a bit less of your 'hysterical' and other such misogynistic shite.

Starksforthewin · 12/12/2019 23:04

All those people saying they hope so, don’t come fucking moaning on here when you have to wait for 17 hours on a trolley in A&E or you end up in a fight for food when the supply chains break down post Brexit.

Being caught in a lie once used to disqualify politicians from high office, not it is standard operating procedure.

I don’t believe there are many billionaires on Mumsnet so those of you who have voted Tory really are the proverbial turkeys voting for Christmas. Good luck with getting an education for your children.

SheepGoesBaa · 12/12/2019 23:04

If the election results turn out to be the same as the exit polls, what does that mean?

Does that mean brexit will continue?

towers14 · 12/12/2019 23:05

Hope so. Sanity prevails!

Thestinkycheeseman · 12/12/2019 23:05

It means Brexit will get done now

Xenia · 12/12/2019 23:05

There seem to be a lof of misconceptions of the left about the Tory party. We Tories support the NHS and always have done and always will. The British people are too sensible to accept extreme socialism, nationalisation and all the rest. They want the stable and just society the Conservatives ensure.

The same way that you see Boris as a disaster, some people see Corbyn as the same. It does not make them Scum, or hateful people. They jsut so happen to have different drivers. I myself am a small business owner, and the legislation that JC was looking to bring in on minimum pay, dividend tax, corporation tax etc would have crippled me.

I pay my staff above minimum wage, and competitive for the job.

I am not a millionaire, and friends in Local Government lead a luxurious life style to me.

Can people not see, that we vote based on our own personal circumstances, and that does not necessarily make us evil.

I have had friends state on facebook ' If I find any of my mates voted blue scum, THEY WILL BE BLOCKED'

When did it all get so toxic?

It really is sad

JemimaPyjamas · 12/12/2019 23:06

Im in bits. I thought it might be a hung parliament

OhGrrrreat · 12/12/2019 23:07

I'd like this thread to be brought back up in about 3 years and see if all those 'thank goodness'ing right now still feel the same way. I fucking doubt it.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 12/12/2019 23:07

I think McDonnell was right. This is purely a Brexit thing. It’s the only thing I’ve heard working class Tory voters say when they gave a reason for how they were going to vote.

I do believe the one trick pony that is BoJo has achieved what he wanted to with his continual robotic repetition of “Let’s Get Brexit Done” direct into the television cameras. Wonder if he’s had some training from Derren Brown...
