Corbyn crushing capitalism WTAF

I am a labour supporter, I am even a labour member but I woke up with a pit of dread in my stomach about tomorrow.

It is not the massive nationalisation programme labour have pledged, nor the spending and wasting of trillions of pounds that keeps me awake, it is not even the idea of having Corbyn as PM as weak and as inept as he is.

It is having Momentum in charge of our country (with Corbyn held as a fig leaf so to speak) and their plans to crush capitalism that bothers me the most.

You can't simply crush capitalism, it is the financial world order that we are all part of, not just this country but most of the countries in the world. The idea that we can simply skip back to the 70s socialism in today's global world is ridiculous.
Labour will take over our companies by force, forced closure of private schools, taking over perceived empty homes after six months regardless of circumstances. This is the plan for an authoritarian state forcing a very hard left agenda, not a democratic civilised western country.

Do we suppose people will just stand idly by and let their schools be closed, their homes taken away, and see the deficit spiral out of control? Do we suppose companies being whacked with massive tax hikes and draconian state intervention will just stay in the UK?

No, it will cause a level of crisis and chaos we have never seen before as the labour government try to over throw capitalism and instal their new agenda, and all of this on the backdrop of the hate and division that will be caused by called another brexit referendum! It really does not bear thinking about.

I voted remain, but I honestly hate to think what a second referendum will do to the fabric of our country. It was bad enough the first time around.

I am genuinely feeling sick at the prospect of tomorrow. It is going to be the day of reckoning one way or another.

Labour will take over our companies by force, forced closure of private schools, taking over perceived empty homes

What is your evidence for this

TheQueef · 11/12/2019 07:02

We are doing so well under capitalism too.
Anyone would think we have soup kitchens or homelessness Hmm

Howlovely · 11/12/2019 07:02

Why are you a member of the Labour party if you hate and fear them so much?

WrongKindOfFace · 11/12/2019 07:02

And good morning Tory HQ.

LaurieFairyCake · 11/12/2019 07:03

We MUST have a second referendum on the actual deal in front of us.

That's in my opinion, democratic.

Considermesometimes · 11/12/2019 07:04

I have been a member of the labour party since I was eighteen years old, I am not late forties. I support the labour party, but do not support the Momentum side of the party.

I’m a Tory voter and even I think that’s a bit far fetched!

What on earth makes you think this country was 'socialist' in the 70s? That statement alone undermines your argument as it betrays a significant level of ignorance.

missfliss · 11/12/2019 07:08

As another poster has said, good morning Tory HQ social media bots

Considermesometimes · 11/12/2019 07:08

Why I think you need to do abit more research if you think it is far fetched, this is exactly what Corbyn intends to do. If you are a tory supporter how can you know you will definitely win? It is a little arrogant of you to suggest you have nothing to fear, I may respectfully suggest.

OP why did you join the Labour Party in the first place? Can you tell me some of their policies and values that you DO agree with?

StayDetermined · 11/12/2019 07:10

Tory.

Considermesometimes · 11/12/2019 07:11

How obvious you would simply assume I am a tory! I am not a tory I am a labour voter, and I am very unnerved about the current state of the party.

You can pretend that all is well with labour, but we all know the party has been quietly infiltrated, it is why we have never been able to remove Corbyn, despite successive efforts!

OP posts:
Whyjustwhy23 · 11/12/2019 07:15

Where did I assume Tory will win Confused

It’s a bit far fetched that all that will happen, he can write what he wants on a manifesto but this isn’t a presidential government and getting such massive sweeping changes theough wouldn’t be like skipping to the park!

Considermesometimes · 11/12/2019 07:16

I have always believed in a moderate labour government, the labour government of the 1970s was a disaster, however we ran the country for many many terms into the 1990s and into the 2000s brilliantly. Appealing to most people, striving for a much better life for everyone, it was great. However since then something rotten has taken root, and all of my labour values seem to be ignored in favour of mass programmes of nationalisation, out of date policies and a general misunderstanding of how the world even works.
It is terrible to be a labour supporter, and feel at the same time I simply can not vote for them tomorrow.

Considermesometimes · 11/12/2019 07:19

why

It’s a bit far fetched that all that will happen, he can write what he wants on a manifesto

And that is where we differ why, you say he won't go through with anything he has pledged to in his manifesto, and I say he definitely will and more than that, this will be just the start!!!

I have no idea what the tory hq are saying today. I am only talking about how I feel this morning with the election tomorrow. I feel sick with worry.

Anyone that does not feel that way probably doesn't understand the gravity of the situation!

OP posts:
MaidenMotherCrone · 11/12/2019 07:20

Tory

missfliss · 11/12/2019 07:20

Previously I would have thought the Tories better than this, but after all the crap and manipulation over the hospital photo of the poorly 4 year old and the associated assualt lies we can now spot a lame attempt to discredit the opposition the day before an election from a mile off.

The Tories have behaved disgracefully with their fake 'fact checking' website etc this election.

Utterly disgusted by them

OrangeCinnamon · 11/12/2019 07:21

Actually 'forced closure' of private schools isn't in the manifesto. No VAT exemption is
and consultation on Integration with the state school system is.

Empty homes they talk about intriducing empty homes management order by councils to tackle long term empty properties ...not quite as you make out some enforced takeover of homes 'perceived' as empty.
