Johnson repeatedly refusing to look at picture of a four year old child on a hospital floor when confronted by an ITV reporter. After refusing to so much as glance at the photo, he then proceeds to pocket the reporters phone(!?) while mouthing empty platitudes. Here’s a link, but I’m sure you’ll see it on the news anyway..

Was he having a bad day? Nah, it’s Johnson to a T: a privileged, uncaring, unashamed bullshitter, out for number one. Does this man represent our country?

If he gave a monkeys about the nhs he’d have ploughed money into it before he was forced to by an election. Also the 20,000 more Police Officers are not extra as he claims, they will put the numbers back to what they were in 2009. So many empty promises all around. No viable option for voting.

Forgotmy · 09/12/2019 18:16

Brexit has gone off menu really now. It is all about this and that, ABB Anything but Brexit.

They are total FKRS now and don't care about anyone or anything but power to lead us into a pro Trump kind of life. Can't wait lol.

Venger · 09/12/2019 18:18

Lets all blame bojo. Agree he should have looked at the picture, but I also didn’t see in the article any bashing of the hospital? I’ve been in enough( hospitals to know that bed chairs are available in children’s wards, could one have been used? Or another chairs? Where are the parents? No way would I let my child lie on a floor like that, they would be in my arms, where are the hospital administrators?

My nearest A&E currently has wait times of 8-10 hours for anyone not in a life threatening state. A friend of mine was there yesterday with her DC who was suspected to have a broken arm, they waited 9 hours. People were standing in corridors and chairs were being brought up from the canteen for people to sit on. This is a hospital that does redirect people to other, more appropriate services as needed. They have an onsite out of hours and a minor injuries walk-in as well as the A&E so the people in A&E have been triaged as needing to be in A&E. She said a particular highlight in the waiting room was the person who was repeatedly vomiting into kidney bowls who got some on the floor and it was over two hours before anyone was able to clean it up despite vomiting woman asking for cleaning materials to do it herself. She said the staff were absolutely slammed and simply had no one available to help move people through.

Again, headline is he didn't look at photo. Quote from article: "Mr Johnson then removed the phone and looked at the image, saying: “It’s a terrible, terrible photo and I apologise obviously to the family and those who have terrible experiences in the NHS."
It's a total non-story, and a blatantly false headline

But sadly to be expected at this stage, as I'm on record as saying

There could easily be an "expose" concerning Corbyn in the next couple of days too, and I won't be swallowing that wholesale either

IME it's often best not to trust such obvious spin - not at all actually, and certainly not this close to such a dirtily fought election

People who approve of Buffoon won't mind at all.

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 09/12/2019 18:31

@KenDodd

It made my mind up, touched a nerve and there will be many like me.

leckford · 09/12/2019 18:31

I think this will be proved to be a set up.

PigletJohn · 09/12/2019 18:31

It appears that after nine years of Conservative government, our Conservative Prime Minister accepts no responsibility for the state of the NHS, and says that to improve it, we have to leave the EU quickly.

Count how many times he says it.

Some would say that if the Cons were willing and able to fund the NHS adequately, they would have started nine years ago.

Forgotmy · 09/12/2019 18:34

Voters have a choice now under FPTP.

A lying charlatan or a so called Marxist. Place your bets now.

LDs are done for imv.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/12/2019 18:35

Good on the Reporter for showing him up. However Why would he give a shit about a poor sick child who can’t find a bed. It’s not going to affect him winning a majority, is it. It doesn’t interfere with his plummed gobbled life style, does it.

Spamantha · 09/12/2019 18:35

I don't think this makes the top ten examples of why Boris is a terrible human being.

Sacked for dishonesty.
Conspiring to have a journalist assaulted.
Watermelon smiles.
Post boxes.
Comments on the working class.
Comments on single mothers.
The police being called for the domestic disturbance.
Shutting down parliament.
'Fuck the familes' of the 7/7 bombings.
The car crash that was his tenure as secretary of state.

But that's what the majority of the country seem to like these days.

“I think this will be proved to be a set up.“

Involving the Chief Executive and the Chief Medical Officer of the Trust?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/12/2019 18:38

He could have spat on the child.
The stories will still get in. I promise.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/12/2019 18:39

Tories not stories

fikel · 09/12/2019 18:39

A and E is like being in a Third World War Zone it’s truly frightening

Forgotmy · 09/12/2019 18:42

Will not make a dent in anything. Johnson is beyond reproach now nothing can damage him anymore.

What a debacle, but here we are. Talk about a rock and a hard place.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 09/12/2019 18:43

I think this will be proved to be a set up

What, like that other "had-to-use-the-floor" shot of Corbyn on the train?

Even with the alleged comments from management I'm keeping an open mind on this, but frankly I'm beyond being surprised by any of it now

Snowy111 · 09/12/2019 18:46

There are so many examples of what an odious, selfish, entitled, privileged, disingenuous, amoral prick he is. He lies consistently, even after fact checkers have outed his lies, he repeats them again and again. Somehow he’s managed to convince people he’s better than the tories when he’s the worst of the tories - just look at the front bench he’s put together. I feel so depressed, not least because a hard Brexit is now on the cards.

MmaMofasi · 09/12/2019 18:46

How did this great beautiful country come to this?
Nowadays you wake up in the morning with worry as to what's coming next!🤔

PortiaCastis · 09/12/2019 18:47

Just been on BBC 6o'clock news and apparently the little boy's Mum doesn't want him used as a political football but I'd say he already is poor little soul!
I really don't think it's a set up as the hospital have issued an apology.

bellinisurge · 09/12/2019 18:47

He's a sociopath. He could easily have said some meaningless shit like "this is terrible; I don't know the details but I will find out". At least Hancock did a convincing show of saying the same sort of thing.
Johnson put the phone in his pocket because he is unable to conceive of a situation that doesn't revolve around him.

AutumnCrow · 09/12/2019 18:48

I keep a supply of Clexane under my bed because if I have enough pulmonary embolism I'd be dead before I got the injection in our local A&E.

Oliversmumsarmy · 09/12/2019 18:49

Not saying that the boy wasnt on the floor but I am confused.

Each time Dp has been brought in by ambulance the ambulance crew waited until a bed was found for him to be put in.

They waited because he was on the ambulance wheeled stretcher.

In which case why did the ambulance crew or whoever put him on the floor?

PostNotInHaste · 09/12/2019 18:50

I just don’t understand why on most of these threads here people assume if you feel the Lie Minister is a disgusting piece of humanity that you automatically think Corbyn is the best thing since sliced bread. It’s not a binary decision and some of us are utterly pissed off with the lot them.
