Johnson repeatedly refusing to look at picture of a four year old child on a hospital floor when confronted by an ITV reporter. After refusing to so much as glance at the photo, he then proceeds to pocket the reporters phone(!?) while mouthing empty platitudes. Here’s a link, but I’m sure you’ll see it on the news anyway..

Was he having a bad day? Nah, it’s Johnson to a T: a privileged, uncaring, unashamed bullshitter, out for number one. Does this man represent our country?

It’s a sad picture I feel for the little boy. For lying on the floor and ending up as the subject in an election campaign. He looks vulnerable and ill poor thing.

The he took my phone isn’t really the story although the reporter seems to be focussing on that.

Agree Corbyn and Labour play their part in not romping it home as they could have

Forgotmy · 09/12/2019 19:56

Sad for UK now, but onwards and upwards, Will be a max of five years.

But there have been two GEs now within the five year period of the Fixed TPAct, so I am a total FKN skeptic in that regard. There are obviously ways around it!

Snowy111 · 09/12/2019 20:05

BJs Brexit will have an impact for a hell of a lot longer than 5 years!

I won't be voting for an old man who has ill health

So why the fuck do Tories want people to work until 75 then

The hypocrisy from the right is really something else

Tories forced into climbdown over claim aide was hit by Labour protester
Video later emerges showing adviser walking into activist’s arm

General election latest - live news

The Tories were forced to make an embarrassing climbdown on Monday after aides briefed that an adviser to Matt Hancock had been hit by a Labour protester in an incident that it later emerged had been innocuous.

Conservative sources claimed on Monday afternoon that the adviser to the health secretary had been hit by a protester at a Leeds hospital during a campaign visit. Aides initially briefed that Hancock’s adviser was “punched in the face” and tried to point the finger at a Labour “thug”.

But a video that then emerged appeared to show the adviser walking into a protester’s arm.

When the video emerged, aides were forced to acknowledge that it looked like the adviser was hit in the face accidentally, but still tried to turn the story on Labour by claiming the activists’ behaviour and language had been unacceptable.

West Yorkshire police later said they were “unaware of any reports” of an incident involving election campaigners at the hospital

Hancock had been dispatched to Leeds General Infirmary on Monday afternoon after a picture printed on the front page of the Daily Mirror showed a four-year-old boy lying on a ward floor because of a shortage of beds.

The incident happened as Hancock was leaving the hospital after visiting senior staff to talk about the case of four-year-old Jack Williment-Barr.

They were heckled with people shouting: “Shame on you”, “we do not want you in this country” and “you are not welcome in this hospital” as they both walked to a waiting car.

Earlier in the day the prime minister cancelled an election visit as protesters gathered at the venue near Bolton.

JamieVardysHavingAParty · 09/12/2019 20:24

So he wasn’t put on the floor, he got on the floor.

Because there was no bed for him to lie down on!

Dollars to doughnuts, that poor little boy wasn't the only sick child without a bed that night, either.

Forgotmy · 09/12/2019 20:28

Hobson's Choice now with FPTP really.

stophuggingme · 09/12/2019 20:30

If people think this is bad - which of course it is- then they need to understand this is the tip of the iceberg.

Boris Johnson does not care
The Conservative Party does not care

If you do not care then you don’t care about this.

What matters more?

BertrandRussell · 09/12/2019 20:30

“ So he wasn’t put on the floor, he got on the floor.”
Blimey. I find it hard to believe that somebody actually posted that.....

reginafelangee · 09/12/2019 20:32

BJ is a buffoon

Unfortunately Corbyn is worse and downright dangerous.

Forgotmy · 09/12/2019 20:36

Mad to think that the FTPA means something. It doesn't, there have been mulitple elections so far despite it.

Anyway. As I said, they can do what they like really. Can't they?

We are told Corbyn is dangerous by the predominantly right wing press and media but what could he possibly do in 5 years that would be worse for the uk than BJs Brexit deal?

I do think the best outcome is a hung parliament where both BJ and Corbyn have to resign and make way for something better. Rory Stewart would’ve had my vote!

WeshMaGueule · 09/12/2019 20:41

So he wasn’t put on the floor, he got on the floor

Fucking hell, cop on to yourself love.

stophuggingme · 09/12/2019 20:51

@Oliversmumsarmy go back and read what you wrote.

missyB1 · 09/12/2019 20:52

Can’t believe the people in this thread trying to make out this sick kid chose to have to lie on the floor! Or that if a hard plastic chair was available he should have considered himself lucky!
I hope this bloody happens to you or one of your loved ones if you think this is how hospital patients should be treated.
Fuck is this what we’ve come to now? Just accepting third world conditions in our hospitals? And slagging off anyone that dares to complain?

stophuggingme · 09/12/2019 20:52

@Oliversmumsarmy
Have you just dropped some acid or are you in fact just an apologist of the highest order

HeIenaDove · 09/12/2019 20:59

From what im seeing on Twitter the knives are now out for the mother. From what someone has put on Allison Pearsons feed im guessing perhaps the rules on patient confidentiality has changed?!

HeIenaDove · 09/12/2019 21:01

The woman who posted the claims on fb is a patient blamer too.

Whod have thunk it!

FoamingAtTheUterus · 09/12/2019 21:05

Obviously it's a disgusting situation as is BJ.........however I must point out that every day thousands of chronically disabled and sick adults and children who are often hooked up to oxygen and feeding tubes are laid down on filthy toilet floors because there aren't any changing facilities for them. But nobody gives a shit.

I think the UK needs to get it's priorities sorted out in general and it doesn't all fall on our governments shoulders.

MaxNormal · 09/12/2019 21:06

Allison Pearson is a massive right-winger, isn't she?

HeIenaDove · 09/12/2019 21:07

Someone is gonna be in deep deep shit.
