Boris Johnson refuses to look at photo of child on hospital floor

Johnson repeatedly refusing to look at picture of a four year old child on a hospital floor when confronted by an ITV reporter. After refusing to so much as glance at the photo, he then proceeds to pocket the reporters phone(!?) while mouthing empty platitudes. Here’s a link,but I’m sure you’ll see it on the news anyway..

Was he having a bad day? Nah, it’s Johnson to a T: a privileged, uncaring, unashamed bullshitter, out for number one. Does this man represent our country?

OP posts:

I won't be voting for an old man who has ill health......

NiteFlights · 09/12/2019 17:57

Well OP, I think I’d say YANBU for being even slightly surprised by Johnson’s behaviour.

Firstly, if it’s not happening to him, he doesn’t care.

Secondly, he knows that many, many people will be able to look beyond this and all the other psychopathic things he has said and done and vote for his party on Thursday.

He would step on that ill child if he needed to in order to reach a £20 note on a high shelf!

What makes anyone think he gives a damn about them, the NHS, the Conservative party, the UK, anything but himself, I have no idea.

Akire · 09/12/2019 17:57

I find it hard to believe just to “make a point” a parent would take their sick child out of a perfectly good bed or chair and lay them on the floor. (In front of what nurses doctors and other patients) Seriously.

Glad prejudice is alive and well.

Amanduh · 09/12/2019 17:58

Absolute lie though isn’t it? He puts the phone in his pocket whilst he continues the point he’s making. Then gets the phone out. Looks at it. Agrees it is terrible. Apologises.
Perhaps you’d prefer a video of Labour supporters screaming obscenities in people’s faces in Leeds instead.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 09/12/2019 17:58

Personally if I hear ‘oven ready’ one more time I will put my own head in the oven..

NiteFlights · 09/12/2019 18:00

I meant YABU of course!

MidnightCircus · 09/12/2019 18:00

The video that shows him looking at the photo (more than once) and apologising you mean? Uh-huh, ok

SeaWitchly · 09/12/2019 18:00

No-one so blind and willfully ignorant as a Tory voter Hmm

Nonnymum · 09/12/2019 18:02

Yet why do some people still think he is wonderful and Prime Minister material. I honestly don't get it.

BertrandRussell · 09/12/2019 18:03

The reporter tried to show him the phone. He didn’t look. Talked about something else. The report then said that he had taken the phone and put it in his pocket. He took it out, looked at it, commented, handed the phone back and apologised for taking it

In the Yorkshire Post, the mother said that the child was on the floor because he wanted to lie down and there was nowhere for him to go. It was in a treatment room, not a waiting room.He had had a bed earlier but it was needed for another, more seriously ill child. He finally got a bed after 13 hours. All this was confirmed by senior people in the Trust.

Incidentally, my 78 year old psychotic mil waited in waiting room for 12 hours at the Bradford Royal Infirmary before getting a bed last month.

JolieOBrien · 09/12/2019 18:03

@refraction

We need someone who can have the strength to run this country and quite frankly Jeremy looks ill to me ... I am just being honest now.

BertrandRussell · 09/12/2019 18:05

“Ooh, look over there! Corbyn’s glasses are a bit squint!”

Amanduh · 09/12/2019 18:06

Well if you watch the video and say he hasn’t looked or commented on the photo, it isn’t the Tory voters that are blind and wilfully ignorant...

Forgotmy · 09/12/2019 18:06

Oh look over there! No one cares anymore, it will be a Tory victory much to my disappointment because Johnson is a total lying arse. And no one seems to care. But nothing I can do about that either with FPTP.

refraction · 09/12/2019 18:06

And Boris is the picture of health?

Not sure that is what you should base your vote on.Confused

JolieOBrien · 09/12/2019 18:07

@BertrandRussell

Are they? pmsl

AutumnCrow · 09/12/2019 18:07

He definitely took the reporter's phone and put it in his pocket first.

Who does that?

It's controlling, arrogant and ill-mannered.

JolieOBrien · 09/12/2019 18:08

@refraction

He looks in better health than Jeremy tbh

KenDodd · 09/12/2019 18:08

@ThatSeventiesLass

I would have to say that anyone who burns money in front of homeless persons is nasty.
When did he do this?

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 09/12/2019 18:08

I think that interview will have lost them a lot of votes

KenDodd · 09/12/2019 18:08

@Allmyarseandpeggymartin

I bet it won't have lost him any votes.

JolieOBrien · 09/12/2019 18:11

@KenDodd

Why on earth did you choose that name? Sorry to go off thread but I just wondered ....

Forgotmy · 09/12/2019 18:11

What has UK politics come to... Corbyn is a total anti semitic Marxist prick. Johnson is a liar and a charlatan totally doesn't care about anyone but himself and his route to power. IMV. Anyway....

FPTP has led us to this pass. If you think a two party system is democratic, knock yourselves out.

Torchlightt · 09/12/2019 18:11

He dodged a debate last night because it was for issues other than Brexit. And he basically only has 1 tagline to say - Get Brexit Done. Which of course he won't be doing. Heading for a no trade deal Brexit in a year's time.
