It seems like the stories about the old silver fox are ramping up. Feel like there's more mileage in this one that we know...

A few years ago wasnt there another PS news report. I remember the BBC filming PS speeding towards home in his posh black car.

DioneTheDiabolist · 09/12/2019 01:21

Ah come on now folks, for the past 35 years poor Pip has slaved to be easiest, most fun person to work with ever.Xmas Hmm How could anyone think he is smarmy or greedy or petulant or entitled or smug?Xmas Confused

HeIenaDove · 09/12/2019 01:27

I remember when Denise Richard and Judy helped a woman escape an abusive marriage. They all made a great team

HeIenaDove · 09/12/2019 01:28

It was someone who phoned in to Denise.

I know someone who works in TV and apparently Ruth is an absolute sweetheart, she is lovely to everyone - down to the most junior assistants who she mothers. Everyone loves her.

Could just imagine him at the xmas party, sat alone and pissed staring at Holly aggressively.

StiltonVanDeKamp · 09/12/2019 04:15

May be totally wrong about this and happy to be corrected- did he do an advert where he shaved his head to raise money for cancer? But then I don't recall seeing him bald in real life so I assume it was a bald cap and all fake? It just made me angry that he's happy to take the kudos for sacrificing his hair for charity but not actually genuinely go through with it.

JolieOBrien · 09/12/2019 04:22

I find Philip extremely arrogant and annoying. I used to follow him on twitter but got fed up of all the pictures sent from his Villa in Portugal posing with his millionaire friends. He is so far from reality and has no idea about ordinary people and thinks he is the god of itv. I think itv needs to put him right because he is becoming too big for his boots. I prefer Eamonn and Ruth on This morning because they are better interviewers and much more intelligent than either Philip or Holly. Didn't Fern leave because he was being paid more than her? If he no longer presented This Morning I would not miss him at all.

JolieOBrien · 09/12/2019 04:26

He also hates having intelligent woman presenting with him and prefers young simpering women like Holly and Rochelle so he can lord it over them ... really cannot stand him I'm afraid.

Sceptre86 · 09/12/2019 07:21

Did those calling for Richard and Judy to return actually watch their most recent stint? Judy is not as on the ball as she was and Richard bailed her out a lot. I think it would be nice if they were on now and again but definitely not regular presenters. I like Ruth but Eamonn come across as very pompous and has actually been rude to Ruth on more than one occasion. I have never really warmed to the Holly, Philip combo as all the inside jokes, laughing is annoying. Doesn't warrant speculation into his private life though. ITV has given him a lot of power and he believes his own hype. I have never liked Amanda Holden but at least she was brave to call him out on his behaviour knowing full well it could affect her job prospects. I would like to see Holly with a new presenter, or Matt from the one show.

I do enjoy watching Rylan, Gino, Alison, Phil Vickery and I thought Fern was very good in her role.

MamaCasey2 · 09/12/2019 07:49

Our school choir was in Joseph in the 90's when he played the main role. Everyday for 6 months we trooped in to the theatre, sometimes two shows a day (total child labour btw) and only once did he come to speak to us.

ManonBlackbeak · 09/12/2019 07:54

Oh well because you don’t know anyone who dislikes them Fatsazer it must be wrong... Hmm

KnifeAngel · 09/12/2019 09:32

@Fastsazer I don't know anyone who does like them. They are constantly rude to their guests. They don't make a great team at all.

hiphiphoorayback · 09/12/2019 10:08

This morning has never been any good since Richard and Judy left so I javen't watched for years. Ruth and Eamon are the closest to that calibre of presenter.

MmaMofasi · 09/12/2019 10:13

It's all gone to his silver head. Overrated and uninteresting. I went off him after using his programme for promoting Boris and treating Corbyn like a criminal.
PS . I vote Green.

HappydaysArehere · 09/12/2019 10:51

cannot stand those adverts which are ridiculous and the fact that he just doesn’t need the money.

Whattodoabout · 09/12/2019 11:38

He’s always seemed like an arsehole to me. I know someone who works on celebrity juice and Holly Willoughby is up her own arse which, again, does not surprise me.

He’s the lynchpin in all the stories of difficult others
Therefore he is the arsehole

DioneTheDiabolist · 09/12/2019 12:19

I love Ruth and Eamonn, they are better interviewers and are warmer, more genuine than the totes hilaireXmas Hmm Pip and Holly.

DingDongSchadenfreudeOnHigh · 09/12/2019 13:03

Fastazer

You're Gordon, aren't you?

So the rumours about your Stockholm Syndrome are true?

MrsFruitcake · 09/12/2019 13:16

DH was in the audience of Going Live as a child. Says PS was vile, shouted at all the runners and said 'Get these ticking kids away from me, I've got a hangover' or words to that effect, complete with swear words.
