Interesting. Wonder if it was even his ring later then, or someone suddenly noticed and leant him theirs! Need to keep up the facade of solid marriage and supporting wife, even though wife is no longer going to be under any illusion that he's been 100% faithful to her over the last months/years, or will at least be questioning it.

He was. This is a great example of how shit gets spread about the internet in seconds though. Poster says this, others pass it on etc etc. The ring has been there the whole time. There is a picture on twitter saying the ring is absent, but the angle is that you can't actually see. Nonsense. People really do believe everything they read!

All this fuss from all the media - ALL of it - makes me really worry about what on earth is being covered up. It can't simply be the runner story.

Why are all the papers etc bothered to keep putting this in the news. It isn't news! Or shouldn't be.

Papers I trust and respect are wasting their time with all of this. Not just once but they're still going with it. It's boring. Why???? Are they being paid to keep the lie going and if so what is it that they're covering up?

Why is Philip Schofield so worthy of all this attention and protection?

Schofield is a disgusting person. Why was he cosying up to 'Bum boy' Boris Johnson like a star struck fanboy? His agenda is purely his own narcissistic greed and sense of entitlement. And now he has been caught out. Don't let the door hit you on the way out Pip. And take your blonde bimbo bestie with you please.

Totally agree @Dusty01 I think there's some huge cover up going on in ITV right now.

I don't know whether it's the fact that it's a massively incestuous nepotistic company, there's outright career sabotage and corruption for those not part of the clique...

or it honestly really wouldn't surprise me to see an 'Operation Yewtree type' investigation at some point in the future.

"Mystery surrounds the sudden departure of Phillip Schofield's former personal assistant and runner after he left This Morning for a rival ITV show.

The male runner, who had a close working relationship with Schofe, quit the show earlier this year and is now working on Loose Women - frequently fronted by Ruth Langsford, who has reportedly lodged an official complaint against Phil.

And while ITV has said the runner was promoted, other staff are said to be confused about the move.

"It was odd because they were so close and then he up and went to Loose Women and they didn't seem to be talking much anymore," one insider told the Sun ."

Bizarre non-story (on the face of it) from the Sun back in December.

Appears much differently now given the rumours.
